With all the lag, DC’s, desync issues, etc., it’s hard for me to justify continuing to spend money on this game. I’ve bought the last 4 chapters at full price, I’ve purchased more crowns than I’m comfortable admitting, and have been paying for ESO Plus for years. Now, with the declining playability in most vet content, I’m starting to feel more like I’m throwing my money away. It’s obvious the developers don’t play the game outside the PTS, if at all. If they did, they wouldn’t send out stupid surveys to try and isolate singular issues, they would understand the issue as a whole. It’s really too bad, but at least Bleakrock Isle is going to look prettier. I’ll give it until U45… honestly probably not sure I care to wait that long.

Think about the time when we complained about the boss in Sanctum Ophidia, it was bad for YEARS. When the dev actually ran through and found out there was a problem, it was FIXED. That tells me that they 1. don`t listen 2. don`t care 3. BOTH. I am also considering shutting down my ESO+ because I have an alternate account without the ESO+ and i`m managing just fine.

I mean, it makes sense right? You give money to coffee shops you like because they make good coffee. The deli that makes those bomb-ass chicken salad sandos— they can have my money. But ZoS? They’re not really trying to impress anymore, of ever they really did.

I subbed from August 2014 til U35 dropped. That was when I realized ZOS only listens to feedback they want to hear. They didn't want to hear all the doomsaying about U35, so they went live with it anyway as they always intended to do. It turns out the doomsayers were right and ZOS lost well over half their vet/end game players....just as people said they would. The trend hasn't changed so I still don't sub.

So for me, it's been very refreshing to not be paying for the sub. I get by just fine with some minor inventory management adjustments and I get to sit back knowing I'm not helping to pay for what, in my view, is a neglected and deteriorating game. (ZOS has already gotten thousands of dollars out me anyway, so it's not like I haven't paid my way several times over already anyway) Course, I've always been a primarily PvP player, so I'm in the group of players that ZOS has always neglected the most.

Virtually all my friends have left the game years ago, and most saw the writing on the wall before U35. But I'll keep playing for free until something better comes along. What we need is another studio to create Cyrodiil 2018 style PvP and support it. But after over a decade with ESO the one thing I've learned for certain is that I'll never buy or invest time into another ZOS product. Like I said, they've already gotten too much of my money considering what they've delivered in return. I don't do housing, ToT, Companions, RP or fashion. So ZOS has done virtually nothing new that's interested me for the better part of 5 years now. No reason to pay a sub for that.

We're moving this discussion to the ESO Plus section, so it is in the correct topic area.

But did want to follow up on a few things here. The team does play the game. However, not everyone runs into these issue. But that does not mean they don't exist. We have engineers who have been chatting with players to get a better understanding of what issues are occurring to better narrow down the issue. For context, I play several days a week. I hardly run into any of the disconnect issues or lag. To the point where I think I have maybe put in a total of 2 personal tickets about this in the last year. But I know several folks on the team who have run into lag/ DC issues very often. The point in highlight this is when dealing with network issues, especially when everyone is running unique set-ups, in a variety of locations, and has different internet conditions, there is a lot more to navigate when trying to get to a solution. But we are working on improving the experience and getting as much information as possible to do it.

And that is also why the survey is important. We have many reports from players who experience something that another player has never experienced. Along with a lot of the variables noted earlier, the survey is meant to get consistant data point to our engineers who are working to address this. It's also important to note that the survey was a community request that we worked on to build out to better help collate information on this. So the survey is a direct result of listening to player feedback.

We understand this is frustrating. We want a butter smooth experience for all players and are continuing to chase all leads to get to a better playstate.

    My 2 cents......

I pay for ESO+ on two accounts..... why because I enjoy the game and find it way easier to do so with plus, I have a third account without plus that basically sells stuff and does some daily crafting, I find it intensely annoying even just doing that tbh.

I didn't fill in the survey because I don't see the issues that many people do.

I cannot remember last time I felt the need to actually put in a ticket or raise a bug report .

I do crash occasionally and I know the situations that might cause that.....

1:- Jumping around the map shopping at guild traders might after a while lead to a DC
2:- Porting to many of my homes repeatedly, like 20 or 30 ports might also cause a DC

I suspect this is most likely to be something like a memory leak on my end or maybe the use of addons to do the above, my PC is getting old!

I did get hit with the error issue a couple of days ago but that I believe was fairly widespread!

OMG my internet went down whilst trying to post this, you couldn't make it up!!
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

The craft bag keeps me subscribed. It's unfortunate that they sell the solution to a problem they create but even Path of Exile does this with their stash tabs. Live service games need some revenue to keep the lights on so I'm not complaining too much. Also ZOS has fixed some major issues in the past that I have personally brought to their attention, like the hybridization of Bash critical. So I know they fix what they can when they have bandwidth.

I stopped paying for ESO Plus a while back. I mainly paid for my main PC account. I moved from PC to XBox where I have to pay just to access the game, so I am not all that interested in paying more for ESO Plus.

No, the Craft Bag is not really incentive. The furniture limits on housing actually is more of an annoyance, to be honest.

ESO Plus for the craft bag or furniture limits is a solution to a problem they created. It is important to keep that in mind.

I have been thinking about unsub to eso+ because I dont think its worth the money atm.

    - Craftbag is just to fill with endless amount of useless "for me" craft materials

    - 10% ingame Gold and 10% AP are useless to me, 10% Tel war is ok if youre a big tel war farmer otherwise you wont barley see any diffrence.

    - I have had eso+ active for years but I still dont own the dlcs that cost only a few k crowns, I would just buy them instead.

    - Extra inventory, I can live without it just makes me stash junk stuff, not much in Eso recently makes me want to create new builds to have new sets in inventory.

But I will wait to unsub until Zos announce what the new season will be about, Eso+ might be more worth then.

If you’re a crafting, housing, or auction main I’m sure the problems most vet content players face aren’t really an issue. From my perspective, however, anyone who buys a game should be able to play it without hindrance especially if they choose to pay extra for a higher tier experience.

If I like a game enough to play it, I subscribe. It's been that way for me since EQ. I do have a second account from when my son wanted to play with me that I don't subscribe on, but I only play that for extra chances at style page drops during events. If I decide that I am angry enough to not subscribe like the year after U35, I don't play at all.
