Grim Focus Skill Styles

Hey ZOS,

If you're not going to remove the perma-glow for Grim Focus, then could we at least get some different skill styles for it?

You've gone with various shades of purple/violet for some of the other nightblade skills, it would be nice to carry that colour theme over into Grim Focus as well.

I threw together a simple mockup and it fits the whole shadow theme of the class. Would love to see something like this in the not too distant future!

Considering how desperate the grim focus permaglow thread bumpers made themselves look, It wouldn't surprise me if ZOS started monetizing skill styles for this ability to be 2k crowns each starting with a violet color, for a limited time when it first becomes available. Basically it'll be like the crimson twilight summon skin that sorcs had, but for nightblades.

Honestly, I wouldn't doubt that in the least. I hope we're wrong, but I can definitely see it going the same way the crimson twilight skill style did.

I agree with the original post. I would like to have my nightblades to have their weapons glow a variety of colors besides red. Maybe even rainbow colors.

Your title peaked my interest but now you have my attention. That skill style edit looks so good! Yes, please!! 🥺

How about a skill style that just makes it invisible. It'd be the best skill style released yet.

While they do this, they can make the default skill invisible and add red as a style, instead.

I would definitely pay crowns to have my weapons shine black. Like really deep foggy shadowy black!

They can surely try that to make a quick buck, but I am not so sure if that would be great for the games reputation.

If they added an "invisible" skill style for crowns, that would really prove how greedy they have become and ignoring of players and I would probably stop play.

There is no buts about this, they should just remove the dumb light. Then later maybe add light skill styles, as long as they are invisible for others players just as it is now.

That would be funny, considering that Grim Focus only appears to the player and not to other players. You’d be paying for something only you can see.

If they would make it go away, I would be willing to pay for something I can’t see.

I still remember the utter shock I felt the day a friend helped me figure out that only I could see the glow that turns our Nightblades into Redblades. Everyone else gets to see our characters the way they are meant to be seen, but we don’t and we have to suffer how that glow messes up UI elements like the antiquity screen. It’s still boggles my mind. 🤯

Do you think they care enough about the games reputation as much as you think they should, given the overall history of the past 10 years? It simply seems like the most realistic option at this point. But maybe they'll surprise us with a more player friendly option.

    Thank you!

I don't see why we wouldn't get something like this in the future... may not be this year, but I think it's something they'll eventually implement. I think they'd be silly not to.

The only style for this I'd be interested in would be the one that makes the glow go away.

And yes, in that case I wouldn't even be paying for something only I can see.
I'd be paying to not be the only one who CAN see something.
That would be a whole new level of weird design choices, but so is this terrible red glow.
