Barasatii respawn rate

antihero_kazuma
For the vlastrus quest "Death to the crone" it takes us to nisin cave. Is there some issue with the respawn time? It took 10 to 15 minutes to respawn

Been there. Waited over 30 minutes.
Then I went back and killed the first boss of the delve and she finally spawned. Did some googling and apparently IC delves work as a chain reacton? Something like that. I'M on my first coffee so you mihgt want to google it yourself but I hope I could give you the right direction.

Agree with this. Just abandon the quest and try to pick up a different one, save yourself the trouble.

This boss has been an issue for a long time and has not been fixed. Really should increase the spawn rate on the delve bosses that are dailies in Cyrodiil.

However does the guy inside the house ever randomize his quest order? I got the Barasatii quest as the first and guess its an handover from last mayhem. But the khajiit lady quests is all super fast.
I did an non repeating quest recovering an banner who made it 5. Would do some more quest there anyway.

I mean... if you're looking to get the Cyrodiil delve achievement, this guy is gonna be the least of your worries... some bosses don't respawn for several hours...

I remember doing this achievement and meeting up with others in there that still play the game and I always remember one boss my wife and I sat at, with a random stranger just chatting and stuff for over 2 hours.

Cyrodiil delve bosses have long needed a look at by the devs. They should be brought into line with the out in the world delve bosses for respawn rates.... 5 minutes seems even rough for those when you're on a new toon and they no longer insta pop for you.... so I can only imagine my lack of patience now going back to try to get this achievement.

With due consideration for my mental health, I no longer even go near Barasatii.

I usually just pick up the Vlastarus quests from the lady outside, because the town is usually controlled by an enemy faction, making it virtually impossible to get inside the building to pick up the quests from the man in there-- and if Vlastarus does get flipped to my faction, it often gets flipped back before I get back to town, making it virtually impossible to hand in his quest if I've picked one up.

That said, over the years I've managed to get the achievements for doing all of the town quests, and I've done that particular quest several times without a problem. If Barasatii is already dead, I don't wait there for her to respawn, but instead go around killing other bosses and mobs in the delve, then check back every few minutes. It's been my experience with delve bosses in general-- whether in Cyrodiil or other zones-- that waiting at their respawn location doesn't get them to respawn, but they may finally respawn once a player comes into their area, almost like arriving at their location triggers their respawn but waiting at their location is treated as though you'd already killed the boss. I don't know if that makes sense, but that's how it feels.

Another thing to bear in mind is that corpses don't despawn as quickly if they haven't been looted, because the game likes to give players a chance to loot the corpses. It may be that leaving a boss unlooted can interfere with how quickly it respawns, so players should always fully loot the delve bosses after killing them.

It’s been a while since I did these delves, but unless they changed it only one boss is up at a given time, and it’s completely random as to which one does respawn. Some of the delves have 2 or 3 bosses.

Barasati's "Death to the crone" is the main problematic quest in Vlastarus. Even Gaping Maw spawns extremely rapidly if there are multiple people questing.

In Bruma it's "Know thy Enemy," where you have to kill 1 each of 4 different kinds of dremora. If there are multiple people questing, it can take quite a long time to track down each type, as they're killed immediately. So you're competing against your own group or alliance members.

In Cropsford, it's "Harvest Time," because again, if multiple people are questing, the bags disappear very quickly. They're not on a person's individual spawns, like a crate, they spawn for everyone like resource nodes. And again, you're competing against your own group or alliance members.

Why are these quests like this? And why have they remained that way for so long? It seems like each would be a fairly easy fix. In overland (non-cyrodiil) delves, if someone doing the delve quests enters, the boss will respawn much faster than the standard 5 min. Is that possible to do when the quest doesn't originate AT the delve?

The delve quests at Bruma, Cropsford, and Chorral/Weynon have you pick up, or intereact with, something in the delve, so can be done regardless of the spawn rate of the boss. (I've forgotten how the delve quest at Cheydinhal works.)

This is an annoying problem with all Cyrodiil delve bosses unfortunately. I'm assuming all bosses start their spawn timers the moment you enter a new instance with nobody in it. If someone else is already present, I've noticed the bosses will sometimes be there.

There's another quest in Bruma where you must stop the Daedric incursion ("They're coming from the north!"), which can be a good one to do at the same time as "Know Thy Enemy," because there are 4 Dremora that spawn at the incursion site before the Titan appears, and if you're lucky you can get 1 of each type of Dremora-- but even if you only get 2 or 3 different types of Dremora, that leaves fewer types that you need to hunt down inside of Bruma.

With the delve quest at Bruma, you could conceivably be competing with other players for the mushrooms, but they seem to spawn quickly enough that it usually isn't a problem.

As for the delve quest in Cheydinhal, you just need to recover an artifact, so it isn't necessary to kill a boss.

Yeah, I usually just do the other quests and kill dremora as I run into them, waiting for that quest to come up if I haven't done it yet. But even so, it rarely gives me more than two of dremora. Good tip.

I never noticed that before, although I'm not sure how I could have unless I were in there with a group of other players and we were calling out which boss(es) were up at any given time. So basically, if Barasatii isn't spawned, go find the one that is and kill it, then check back at Barasatii again, until she finally does spawn.

That might explain why I haven't had trouble with her before, since I generally go run around the delve killing other things if she isn't up, rather than just waiting at her spawn point.

I found this out while clearing all of the delves in Cyrodiil for the Explorer title. I had to keep killing bosses until I got all of them. Since they were random, the same one could come up multiple times before another one would respawn. Running around those delves is tedious work too, there are a lot more mobs there than in PvE zones and they are generally in larger groups.

+1 for drop and do another quest. Unfortunately that quest giver only wanted to give me that one.
