Help with Sheogorath inspired build/character.

Hello everyone, I’m in need of some help!

I want to make a Sheogorath inspired Khajiit character – really leaning into the whole skooma cat and purple/pink visuals.

I was originally going to go with a Necro build; dual-wield, Corpseburster, throwing knife. I’m using a Nightblade throwing knife build on another character and love it - I also really like the purple glow of the Necro’s IA set.

However, I didn’t realize the IA Necro sets each had different visual effects… and while I love the Nobility in Decay effect, I don't like the Corpseburster one. The colour doesn’t fit the purple/pink theme, but the more important issue for me is the strobing effect – really bothers my eyes and makes it unusable for me.

At this point I’m kinda stuck and I’m not too sure what direction to take things for a Sheogorath-inspired build that leans into purple/pink visuals.

I’ve been contemplating a Sorcerer build, or maybe even another Nightblade (though I’d need to find away around the red grim focus glow… if they want to release a purple skill style for that, I’d be sold.. they have released purple styles of other NB abilities) - but nothing is jumping out at me... I want it to be fun, but also able to clear a decent amount of content, while embodying the Sheo theme I'm going for.

It’s a weird and very specific problem, but at this point I just feel like I’ve hit a wall, and I could use some help with ideas and perspective.

I’ve included a screenshot of the visual style I was hoping to go for below - just a PTS mockup.

Any help, insight, theory crafting, or insanity would be appreciated - at this point, nothing is really off the table.

Thanks for reading!

My vote would be sorc, though it is more blurple than purple. The area denial, stuns, maneuverability, summoning, and defense of sorc gives me Sheogorath vibes-- like a game of tag, but deadly.

Definitely my first thought - you're absolutely right about the blurple though, haha.

I've played sorc a bit in the past and it was fun, but I wasn't a huge fan of the pets.

Going to have to check things out a bit and see if I can find a decent pet free build that would work - or at least not the flying pet.

Thanks for the ideas and comment!

Grisly gourmet set would fit, not quite cheese but only a madman would care to bake sweetrolls amids a fight

Hmm, is it possible to use one of those Jester's Festival mounts with the Scribing ability Trample? I never looked into that skill much but that would be hilarious wacky and on-point for Sheo.

Yes, the hobbyhorses/stick mounts work with Trample and it is glorious.

Thank you so much, everyone! Lots of great and hilarious ideas on there - makes me realize how much I still don't know about the game, despite years and years of playing.

Trampling hobbyhorses, Grisly Gourmet.... haven't tried any of those skills/sets before, lots I need to play around and experiment with on the PTS.

I think I'm going to go forward with the sorc for now, there are some decent non-pet builds I can use for reference points, and nothing about this character has to be the meta... just want it to be fun and capable.

I'm hoping to have some time this weekend to experiment, I'll be sure to update the thread with any notable progress!

    I would probably recommend sorcerer.

Also with skill styles, there are a lot of purple colors of skills you can use. There is a purple soul trap, a purple dawnbreaker, a purple wall of elements, and I’m sure I’m forgetting some.
