I never had a problem with either of those islands, Galen was at the top and High Isle below. I did have to click and zoom in on those zones to see the wayshrines but I think that was it.
As I remember it you play on console Katanagirl?
We use the controller triggers to navigate the map - press and hold one trigger to zoom in and press and hold the other to zoom out. This press and hold takes a couple of seconds to go from the big Tamriel map to a zone, then again into the zone. It's not just a single click like it is for PC and it's why Galen etc weren't such a big deal for controller users.
This new "QOL" just means more time spent pressing and holding triggers instead of travelling which doesn't sound like an improvement to me. Did they test this in controller mode at all?
You can just hold the trigger but I think a click works the same. Hard to say though, you don’t think about it, you just do it from muscle memory.
Don’t PC users have some list of zones they can click on too? I thought that was their preferred method.

The list is fiddly to use compare to just clicking the map given there are so many zones. You have to remember the name of the place, which with High Isle and the expansion (I literally cannot remember the names of the other islands), for example, isn't always straightforward (inc having to remember which zones are and are not called "The"), and scroll down. It's just annoying.
KapiteinBoterham wrote: »@spartaxoxo Are you suggesting this or informing us? Because if I zoom in I still see only 1 wayhsrine per zone.. It's a very good suggestions tho!
This is not good, as someone who uses the big map to travel around; Now I have to first click on a zone and then find the wayshrine (through all the other icons in this zone). This will be a major headache/eyestrain caused by searching through all the icons in a zone.
I hope this gets changed or we get an option to show all wayshrines on the big map.
KapiteinBoterham wrote: »@SilverBride So you don't mind that if you need to TP somewhere that you now have to look through all the icons in a zone to find the wayshrine?
KapiteinBoterham wrote: »@SilverBride Before update 45 you could conveniently see all the wayshrines in a zone on the big Tamriel map without all the other clutter/icons. This made teleporting around/looking for a wayshrine very convenient.
This convenience is now gone. If ZOS were to give us the option to view the wayshrines on the tamriel map OR implementing what @spartaxoxo thought was the case that would be the best solution!

@ZOS_Kevin please take a look at this thread, this seems to be a major oversight.

Also ESOhub shows the zone-names when zoomed out all the way, this is not the case in-game. You have to zoom in a bit, for the names to become visible.
KapiteinBoterham wrote: »@silverbride zoom out to the big Tamriel map > filters.
This option is not visible when on a zone map.
