8v8 BG Leaderboard

I notice in the last few 8v8 battlegrounds today I got a notification in the loot area that my leaderboard score was going up a few thousand points...but as far as I know there is no leaderboard for 8v8...just 4v4 competitive.
How do you track an 8v8 leaderboard score? What is it used for?

Kittytravel✭✭✭✭✭As far as I know this is where you would go to see the BG leaderboards.
Iirc being on them nets you a Gold piece of BG gear, 5 Transmute stones, and 5k gold. That might have changed as I have not looked in a long time.0 -
