Problem setting Siege in Cyrodiil

Need help setting down Siege in Cyrodiil. As I understand it the item (Ballista etc) is in the quickslot, I press Q to initiate the set down, the yellow circle appears and then left click (Mouse) should set down the item where the circle was. Unfortunately nothing happens -- am I doing something wrong or is this a Bug.
I have tried this on 3 accounts to the same effect, tried repair of the files -- turned off all addons -- The only thing I have not tried is swinging the cat around my head -- it's really a shame as I would like to really participate in this ongoing event

VoxAdActa✭✭✭✭✭The yellow circle isn't showing up until the weapon is going down; you can't tell exactly where the game is about to put it until it's successful. If it's not going down, the invisible circle could be on a rock, or a parapet, or some other uneven piece of ground. Or it could be too close to another siege weapon. It's hard to tell, because the notification for "ground is not level" or "too close" is only showing up about 50% of the time, too.0 -
VoxAdActa✭✭✭✭✭Oh, also, if you're trying to put down a forward camp, you have to be at least rank 6 to use it. I ran into that problem on my new char today.0

geodev✭✭Thanks for the reply, then I guess I have a Bug interfering with deployment.
The circle appears when in range, will turn red when on uneven ground or too close to other deployed sieges, but when I have picked a spot and circle is yellow, then nothing happens on left mouse click -- so looks like no sieges for me -- lol
Playing from Australia so lag is 300 +/- 20 millisecs but that should not affect it - though it does make my deaths interesting -- I die before I see the enemy fire all those death recaps.
So I guess PVE is for me0 -
Soraka✭✭✭✭✭Did you try changing the setting in the menu for siege? I don't remember how it is worded, but it auto deploys without the click if you change it. Maybe that would help.0 -
geodev✭✭I believe the Siege Menu only appears after the siege is deployed ? But I can't deploy it so not an option
Anyway -- thanks for the replies -- I will forget about PVP for now0 -
Marronsuisse✭✭✭✭Make sure you hold still while your character performs the "placing" animation; moving at all will cancel it.
Also there is a siege limit. You can't place siege if too many other sieges are down at the keep - you will get a little error message.
If not either of those I'm not sure what could be the cause.0 -

I have tried staying stationary -- even waited up to 2 minutes after attempting, but too no avail.
Oh, and tried setting up on Keep where I am the only player -- so no other sieges deployed
So I guess it is a Bug that is unique to my setup

In my case I have to hit the Interrupt keybind after I see the yellow circle.
Found that answer after trying every combo but if it works -- don't knock it -- haha2
