Companion passives

Hello, I have all companions all at level 20. Now i'm thinking to max the relation to have the keepsake to give bonus to all my characters but I can't exactly understand wich one is worth having.
Like Mirri, Ember, Isobel and Azandar all give additional loot in different circumstance but WHAT ADDITIONAL LOOT? In azandar is specified but for Mirri Ember and Isobel it isn't. I don't want to loose time with useless perk. Like Bastian...
Thanks in advance to those who will respond.

well.. the only perk i regret about is Bastian's. The potions appear in my inventory, but they are inferior to best crafted ones, so JunkBuster addon deals with them by autodestroying.

the best perk are Azandars portfolios, purple furnishing plans are very rare from these, but some may be quite valuable

Mirri's and Ember's perks are not considerable (Mirri's bags may be from 60..240g inside or treasures, or cheap furnishing plans), Ember provides with extra gold, though quite small amount.
Isobel's packs are also not much valuable, though it is OK for me to sometimes get free inexpensive furnishings from her.

Sharp boosts your fishing (and i do fishing very rare, my life is so short),
Zerith's perk is nice - heavy sacks start to glow azure, so you hardly can miss them.

i have not raised Tanlorin up to 20 yet, so i dunno.

i have got Merchant assistant, so i don't think small gifts from Companions are annoying, as it is easy to clean up your inventory bag "in the fields" if these "extras" are exhausting carrying bag capacity.

    edit: typo

Thank you for your clarification, so the "must have" are:
    1) Zerith (see heavy sack)
    2) Tanlorin (+chance to force a lock +time to open a lock -chance to break a lockpick)
    3) Azandar (it apply to all container so it's good)

Having them is not bad but not a priority either
    1) Isobel
    2) Mirri

    To avoid:
    1) Sharp: it interfree with fishing for perfect roe augmenting the chance to catch trophy instead of a fish u can filet

    Not interesting for me:
    1) Bastian: iddn't use a potion from a monster in years
    2) Ember: don't like to steal a lot

Do u know if champion point have effec on the quality of the loot?

Ps: I really hope that they create a companion that has an effect similar to "keen eye treasure chest" for trial because have to reach level 7 and 9 in excavation to be able to use it it madness.

Ember's hidden wallets can drop over 2k gold. I'd post a screenshot but apparently this sub forum doesn't want to play nice with inserting images.

Mirri's buff doesn't change what you see directly when you open a treasure chest. Rather, it gives you a "Hidden Bag" item in your inventory that you can then open. In my experience it's most likely to contain gold, but occasionally you'll get other stuff as indicated by the UESP entry quoted above.

I think Bastiaan's would be ok if you weren't crafting your own potions, and they're fine for any new characters you're levelling up. After that, as mentioned, they're not as good as ones you can craft with max alchemy.

    2k is sure interesting

If choosing a companion based on perks alone, I'd say Tan is first and Zerith second - I've leveled them all up.

    That said, a few caveats:
    1. Tan. Lockpicks are cheap and easily found.
    2. Zerith. Heavy sacks normally contain 'musty grain and spuds' so no loss there if you don't see a few of them.
    3. My elf's been playing long enough that gold is not important. Her needs are few and her coin purse is heavy - so the perks that give a bit of extra gold are not important to her.
    4. I recommend choosing a companion based on personality and any irritating 'lose rapport' quirks . Honestly, none of the perks are that big a deal. I've made tanks out of each companion and they all do fine in that role.

A side benefit of Azander's passive is it really helps in leveling legerdemain, especially if you're leveling legerdemain with urns in Necrom. And I get enough valuable maps and furnishing plans from the portfolios that I got him first on my alt account, since he's a decent tank as well.

His passive is less useful looting Belkarth apples, and useless killing sheep in Khenarthi's Roost.
