Cyrodiil: Why can't we repair siege gear in inventory?

Unless I'm mistaken, there is no way to repair Alliance War siege equipment (ballistae, catapults, etc.) in your inventory, making it so that once something is deployed it is nearly- if not entirely- impossible to pull it back to inventory at full health, leading to inventory or bank slots being cluttered with multiple lines for the same item.

Has there been some reason given why there is no option to repair them in inventory like armor? Or, if it (for some reason) hasn't been considered, maybe y'all can consider this ZOS? (or also a very brief period- even just a few seconds- after deployment or repair before health starts to drop).

Or maybe I'm just doing something wrong and somebody can correct me xD

    Hello.
In the tutorial (in cyrodiil) you learn how to repair siege engines.

you have to buy repair kits, put it in shortcut, equip your shortcut key with this equipment, and then next to your siege engine, you use it (like to repair a wall or a castle door)

I think the OPs point was they wanted to repair the siege without placing it, sort of like keeping it in inventory and right click then left on repair like we do armor.

Its a nice idea, but at this point Im still happy with stackable siege (even if the one with less than 100% health doesnt stack).

I'm sure the OP already knew how to use repair kits to repair siege.

It would be nice to be able to repair siege in our inventory, the way we can repair worn gear in our inventory. I don't know if it's something that will ever get added into the game, but it would be nice to be able to fully repair siege so it can stack with other fully-repaired siege. This is actually something that never would have come up before siege became stackable, since having each individual siege engine take up a separate inventory slot meant that there was no perceived value to being able to fully repair siege while it's in our inventory. But now that the benefit of being able to do that is so easy to see, maybe it will come to pass at some point?

Hmm, I never thought of this. It would kind of be nice to repair them just like our armor. The game could deduct the amount of AP needed as we click on “Repair” on the menu screen. Nice idea!

Repairing seige still doesn't always work, as the degrade rate may make the weapon fall to 99% before the put away animation ends, leaving multiple single seige unstackable.

It's a PVP thing, just another challenge and way to make you spend your gold/AP.

This is a really good suggestion. We repair all of our armor without taking it off, so I would think that we should be able to repair our Siege equipment while it's still in our inventory. Good idea! Nice quality of life issue!

Even slightly damaged equipment will NOT stack and thereby creating unnecessary inventory bloat.

Great, now ZoS is going to make us take off our armor to repair it.

But seriously, I agree fully that this is a serious quality of life issue that should be made available ASAP.
