Anyone else wish we were able to preview items in the crafting stations, better than we currently can? I wish instead of that tiny little preview we get, that we could see them like when we click the items at the master crafter writ vendor. I can preview them once they are in my inventory, by using an addon, but I wish I could see the item bigger before I craft it so I could see more of the details. Especially because once it's crafted, you cant get mats back.... PLEASE give us a better preview in the furniture build menu! Oooh and maybe an assistant that can decon furniture... ormaybe add a furniture decon option to the deconstructors!!

Is this a console-specific thing?

On PC, without addons, you have a preview option right next to the 'craft' option at a crafting station. It shows the same empty-void-with-a-grid you get when previewing any furnishing at a vendor.

We have that preview as well, but those grid marks don’t have a scale so I always overestimate or underestimate the size of things I am going to craft.

I’m just guessing, but I don’t think Dragonnord was telling you to delete the topic, it’s possible they had responded and then didn’t like the response so they deleted their own response. Again, I’m just guessing and may be completely wrong.

For the crafting preview screen people have been requesting a proper sense of scale for a very long time now. The ability to preview a furnishing in a house without crafting the furnishing has helped that a bit, but it's a very clunky way of checking. There's also the issue that we need all-axis rotation because, for example, some objects are different on the underside to the top and currently we can't see that.

The most hilarious example of this is a Necrom dome ( https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Necrom_Ceiling,_Domed ) that we just have to take the description's word for it is a dome because what we see in the preview is flat, but there are also examples where the model is plain defective and you can't see that, eg rocks in the crown store that don't just look different underside up, they literally have no surface underside up.

There's already a preview for crafting furnishings, so I'm assuming you're not talking about that, but rather previewing crafted armour styles.

In which case, I have an easy solution for you: Outfit Styles window, and the Outfit Station. Anything you can craft is also unlocked as an outfit style, so if you need a preview for the gear you're about to craft, do it in the Outfit Station.

I use the outfitter, so it doesn't matter what the crafted item looks like.
