SOLO que only Cyrodiil

Why not try it? You recently tried some things to reduce lag on the PTS at Cyrodiil. I continuously see players type in zone they lag out around the ball groups. I ONLY get dced around specific groups of players. And if I get a dc around that player or group I will get it every single time I get near them. It's always groups of at least 4 plus and usually a full ball group. So I just avoid. It would be a lot harder to follow around with the group markers. Plus you couldn't see if you were actually in healing range by looking at your ui group frames.

BR is dead. No CP is dead. Under 50 is dead.

So why not give Solo queue only Cyrodiil a shot? Probably a 7 day faction lock campaign. I would favor CP but no CP might make it almost lag free.

The "in combat" hasn't been taken out of Cyrodiil after 10 years of asking. We have asked over and over and over to just remove mounting restrictions from Cyrodiil. Do you really thing ANYTHING is going to be fixed?

    Solo queue BG has worked well. Did Zos initially allow small groups to gueue together? Because now, I don't see the imbalance and don't see the same players on the same team in games.

    That's indeed what would happen. Just look at how coordinated queueing and queue dodging has completely ruined modern retail world of warcraft PvP.
    End the tedious inventory management game.

    Let's not and say we did.

    ZOS just needs to fix the current game mode they have in Cyrodiil. What I'm seeing on the PTS isn't going to fly in any capacity as far as I can tell regarding the new game mode.

    Not actually being in the same group would limit ball groups. And some spells only apply to group members. Just not being able to see group members on the map would limit effectiveness.

    PLUS, the groups might only go to GH, leaving the solo Cyro to mostly solo players. Even a small man tower humping would have some limitations.

    I've found it only takes a small offset to wipe most ball groups. And I tested last night, and watched the effect ball groups has on my computer. I really question that finding about ball groups not affecting lag.

    There already is the option of "Solo" que or "Group" que. Granted this only pops when a player is que-ing while already grouped. We always "Solo" que because it's a better chance at a faster que time.

    And of course we can all que in individually and then group formally after we enter Cyro.

    Now if what you're referring to is prevent ALL formal grouping, and forcing everyone to be formally Solo, to be frank, that wont matter to performance or have any affect on what people are experiencing.

    With cross healing, shielding and cross buffing, the availability of Guild Chats, Platform VC (PS party chat, etc) and Discord vc, people do not NEED to formally group up to be an effective group.

    On top of all that, recently there has been an increase of the formerly 12 man bg multiplying into a 20-24 man bg. We all know ZoS decreased the max grp size from 24 to 12 quite some time ago, supposedly to help with performance. Didn't seem to have much of an impact, and NOW people have figured out how to run effective 24 man bg in spite of the 12 man limit.

    What I'm trying to say is any decrease in performance or issues experienced isn't happening because people are in a formal group. Take that 1 thing away and people will STILL be able to organize the same way they have been, be present together at the same fights and performance will STILL be as it is now.

    It would affect performance. Last night many players would get 999 ping every single time this one ball group was around. AND players were dcing .... ONLY when they got near the ball groups.

    This didn't happen to me because I've learned to just go to another part of the map. They take over a keep, that's fine with me.

    If they don't have a group and can't mark players, ball groups would not come to the solo version of Cyrodiil. Very unlikely they will come to a version where there are no groups.

    AND many skills and gear only work in groups. OR just lower it to 3 bars 3/3/3. Performance is getting worse with every single patch. SO try this for ONE month. A cyrodiil where NO ONE can join a group of any size.

    I love this idea. You can still group on Discord or whatever, but now group play becomes much more about pure coordination than how many group buffs you can pack into your comp spreadsheet. Pugs barely exist anymore anyway, casuals are much better off sticking to the big 40+ zerg than splitting 10 guys off to become X'er prey at a back keep.

    Solo queue Cyro defeats the whole purpose of the zone/game mode. I'm a solo player who hates ballgroups too but a solo q is not the answer. Besides, I think if they tried it would be dead on arrival. Most players like the group play of Cyro, they like running with friends, joining PUGs and zerging. It sucks as a solo to fight outnumbered but you're running around alone in a war zone, what do you expect?

    If you want smaller scale fights, solo q BGs exist. Personally, I wish IC was more popular as that is a great zone for solo play.

    To use group buffs and auras, you still need to be in a formal group. And that alone is already a big deal.

    I'm suggesting a Cyrodiil where NO groups can be formed. Why not try it? You have 2 campaigns that are completely dead. Even during MYM, the populations on extra servers are a joke.

    Zenimax tested multiple group sizes on the live server a couple years ago. Afterward, they chose to change to a smaller group size of 12 man but stated it was due to other changes they saw in our behavior and not due to it improving performance.

    So they have tested group size, though not forcing solo play. At best, it would be worth a week-long test, but it would not make sense because Cyrodiil was designed around groups. It would be embarrassing if they had to change to solo play to make a PvP format specifically designed around group play work. Many players would not go into Cyrodiil if they could not play with groups.

    Oh, and it would not stop group play. Even solo players often run together and groups like mine would not need to be in a group to be able to stick together as we are a very organized group and always play on comms, A solo design would make it so organized groups such as ours would be even more successful.

    So nothing would be fixed, and some things would be harmed. :neutral:

    I said use one of the empty campaigns and make that a solo que only.

    I just heard ti was Map Pins Addon causing the issue
