Blade Cloak and Lightning Form

Forgive my ignorance if this was mentioned. Blade Cloak/Lightning Form and its morphs should tick every 1 sec, should they not? They're classified as sticky dots but don't function as such since they have avoidant radius, and also require risk of melee range. Thanks for reading!

No, they tick every 2 seconds.

They explicitly state this in their description.

Oh I guess I wasn't clear, my bad lol. I was trying to say they should be changed to 1 sec ticks due to being avoidable, and requiring melee range.

I could understand the 2s tick rate if the radius for these abilities were increased to match the new melee attack range (7m), but the fact that they've been left at the old 5m melee range and still only tick once every 2 seconds just makes no sense.

Unfortunately this has been asked for many times already and has been completely ignored, so I'm not expecting anything to happen to these 2 abilities anytime soon.

The respective advantages of these DoTs (compared to sticky single target /other AoE dots) are:

1) they can be preloaded from a safe position without being in line of sight of the target
2) they can not be cleansed
3) they are mobile
4) AoE

5) Blade cloak is the only non-static weapon ability that procs glyphs from the backbar.

Considering these benefits it is reasonable that they do not get the same tick rate as static AoEs.

That's true but a 5-meter radius in the year 2025 is an absolute affront now that melee distance has been defined as 7 meters.

Increase the radius to 7 meters and then the every other second tick feels fairly balanced.
