I don't think it's wrong to ask for an explanation. I don't expect them to ever give us a satisfactory one though.

As I wrote in a similar thread some time ago - there‘s a lot of stuff to be done during server or patch maintenance. Just the software patches of a tiny, inconsequential QA system (not at Zeni) with wee databases took me roughly 4 hours, from archiving certain data to removing certain data and settings to flushing caches to unpacking and installing the actually patch to informing stakeholders… if everything went well. Funnily enough patch day was Monday, too. Every Monday.

U45 coming, Cyro test coming, etc. I'd imagine there are a lot of things that have to get pushed to live prior to U45 launch date that need to be tested/configured in advance. Doesn't seem that abnormal tbh.

Periodic maintenance is necessary, I get that. But it's always during my daytime or far into the evening, resulting in me missing the daily reward. The missed hours that can't be played, is something I can live with. Missing the daily reward is terribly annoying. If only ZOS could find a solution for that.
