what are some grindable dungeon sets?

Just hit CP 160 and I wanted to start farming a gear set for my Mag Templar. What is a decent set that I basically can just farm only dungeons for? I don't want to have to go out in the open world running around or do any crafting etc. I enjoy just running dungeons / instanced PVE content. I know it's not the most efficient but I don't plan on doing any of the most difficult content just more casual instanced PVE and would like something to work towards from just dungeons.

All sets that drop in a dungeon will drop all their pieces in that dungeon, so they're all grindable. Pillar of Nirn is a good DPS set. If you don't care about being meta, I personally enjoy aetheric lancer from infinite archive, which is instanced PvE content. Your best bet is to look at builds online and pick one you like - they usually split stuff out into several options for 'here's the build if you do trials', 'here's the build if you want to craft everything', etc.

Sergeants mail: Wayrest, Noble duelist: Blessed Crucible, Undaunted unweaver: Arx?, Storm master: Tempest Isle. Heavy attack builds are pretty easy to hear up.

Researching traits doesn't require crafting. It's easy to do and important for the purposes of transmutation and reconstruction.

Normal trials are as casual as normal dungeons.

Here is a good set tier list. It's slightly out of date, but still highly relevant:

I would go for the standard
    1pc Slimecraw (Divines, light armor)
5pc Trial set body (All divines)
5pc Other set (Shoulder, 2x ring, 2x dagger)
    Mythic
    Arena weapon back bar (infused)

The difference between dungeons and trials is the group size. Especially on normal there really isn't a difference other than that.

Slimecraw hats drop from veteran Wayrest Sewers 1
Mythic: Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet (Bloodthirsty) is great for magplar. Boring to get, but worth it.
Arena Weapon: Maelstrom Greatsword or Inferno Staff. Perfected not needed on back bar weapons. Normal Maelstrom Arena is easy to finish even without a proper build.

    Trial sets I would recommend:
    - Relequen - excellent single target damage. Melts bosses
    - Ansuul's Torment - easy set and forget.
Perfected is nice to have but not mandatory, so normal trials is just fine. There is also Coral Riptide, but that is more for stamina builds. Whorl of the Depths would also be pretty good but it's light armour. And you only want 1-2, maximum 3 pieces of light and the rest medium.

    Other sets:
    - Aegis Caller from Unhallowed Grave dungeon - slightly better than Pillar of Nirn
    - Pillar of Nirn from Falkreath Hold dungeon
    - Deadly Strike - s-tier set for Templars and Arcanists
Aegis and Pillar are dungeon sets. The damage difference is small, so check the proc conditions which one you like more. Deadly Strike is excellent for magplars and I use this one. It can be bought from guild stores or if you do PVP and gain AP you can buy them from a vendor in the town of Bruma in Cyrodiil.

If you don't have access to antiquities and cannot therefore get Mythics, the next best thing would be a full monster set. Zaan is a pretty good monster set. Hats drop from veteran Scalecaller Peak and shoulders can be bought with undaunted keys. Velothi would be better, but still, Zaan will do.

You can check traits and enchants from Skinny Cheeks website.

Templar hasn't been updated in a while, but Arcanist has pretty similar builds so you can check the traits, sets and enchants from any Arcanist build. The default view of Setup #1 is the most used one. And for a reason.

CP, skills, attributes, buff food, mundus (spoiler: The Thief), etc can be checked from the templar page.

Nowadays there are also scribing skills, but other than that nothing else has changed in this aspect.

It is worth noting that there is now an Elite Vendor at one of every Alliances Homebase for example the DC one.....

Lilou Guidroz is a Breton Elite Gear vendor who can be found in the Merchant House armoury at the Southern High Rock Gate.

This means that you don't even have to travel to the towns which might be under enemy control, the only difference is the items at this vendor cost more AP each than the town based vendors.

Edit to add a link for other Alliance locations.
