Maintenance for the week of July 27:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – July 27, 6:00AM EDT (10:00 UTC) -11:00AM EDT (15:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – July 27, 10:00 UTC (6:00AM EDT) - 15:00 UTC (11:00AM EDT)

Preventing horse training from taking place yesterday wasn't enough...

At least we get to have 4 trees that we can buy in Skywatch for 10k gold

I have a new character that I am currently leveling up the riding skills for, so yes, the free riding lessons do indeed spark some joy. I don't have much use for trees, but I am sure others will like them.

I think the OP is referring to the fact that for just about all of EU, this reward is no longer available due to the 20+ hours of maintenance yesterday/last night....

Oh yeah, that's unfortunate for sure. Maybe they can send that reward to those players.

The sad part is that those aren't some unique trees we cannot get, we can literally buy them off npc.
If at least they were some unique models that cannot be gotten it would be fine, but giving away trees that are sold ingame kinda meh rewards.

Yeah, that's what I meant, apologies if it wasn't clear.

They didn't just prevent horse training [in my case] on multiple characters/accounts, they also denied me the books.

I guess is not drudgery enough already.

For me it's a little frustrating to have these 'Crown Lessons' as a reward - I get that for a lot of people they are useful BUT ... they can't be transferred, sold or given away so I end up just having to destroy them.

I have zero need for crown lessons until they add the druid class. I would have rather 1-3 crown crates, heck event the generic ones from twitch drops more so than more of these.

Absolutely - I have new alts that need riding training. And it's still available for me on both NA and EU - guess I was lucky enough to get logged in before things went south.

    Lucky indeed.

Regrettably waking up at 1AM on the off-chance that maintenance might be complete was not an option for me :disappointed:

Might have been 30 years ago, but these days if I interrupt my sleep there will be hell to pay in the following days.

Oh, I get that. That's why a friend is loading all his Skyrim mods on a stick to send to me - otherwise I'd have to be up at 2am every day for a week to get the ones I want (that's when my freezone time starts....)

Ouch. Yeah, that sounds like nope to me too.

I continue to be surprised by how big a deal people make login rewards out to be. It’s not that serious. We log in to play the game, the rewards are a small bonus token. Not every one will be relevant for every player. Some are more useful than others. Some are more valuable than others.

Use what you want, trash the rest, move on with your day. There’s no reason for zero-effort game freebies to need to spark joy.

I admit that the image I put in the OP might not be immediately obvious in its meaning but either you did not read any post on the thread or the language barrier is preventing me from understanding your post because read it and re-read it as I may I can't work out how it relates to the OP.

I'm not the one who made that post, but since I initially interpreted it the exact same way, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and show you why I did.

You may want to edit your opening post to be more clear because there are two legitimate ways to read it. Frankly, I find the incorrect way to be the one that's the most obvious interpretation, incorrect though it may be. You'd have to be familiar with the maintenance issue not mentioned in the opening post to understand the true meaning. Or you'd have to read the thread rather than only the opening post.

    ETA
I did so I realized it wasn't complaining about trash quickly. But not everyone will want to read the whole discussion and will just go by the opening post.

Thank you. Now it makes sense.

    Will do shortly.

EDIT: Have done, hopefully is clearer now. Thank you again for the suggestions, much appreciated.

You're welcome. I'm glad it was helpful. I hope EU players get the daily login reward at a later time.

Thank you, I hope so too.

I have managed not to miss a single login reward since 2020 on three accounts and a single endeavour since they were released (even though at times they could be testing).

Alas yesterday they put the bar a bit too high even for me.

They are nice if you want to make an new alt.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Hi everyone. We recognize that the unexpected extended maintenance downtime yesterday resulted in some players being unable to log into the game until the following day, and missing out on daily login rewards and some daily Seals of Endeavor.

To make up for this, we are doing the following on all servers:
    • We are adding the Crown Lesson: Riding Capacity (x3) reward to Day 8 of the Daily Login Rewards for March.
    • On March 3 and 4, all daily Endeavor activities will grant double the usual amount of Seals of Endeavor.
Thank you for your patience during yesterday's extended maintenance downtime.

    Noice.

    Yeah, agreed.

I have my own opinion on how this should have been properly thought through - the ability to enable time-gated activities, which are legion now, to be performed more than once per day if the situation calls for it - the moment the choice was made to heavily rely on this for every conceivable system.

Alas is probably too late now to implement such thing so is nice to get at least some consideration.

@ZOS_Kevin very happy to see compensation for the maintenance. I think it’s time you guys seriously reconsider how horse training is implemented. At least let us purchase it all at once like bank and bag upgrades.
