Do you need to do a certain amount of damage to the boss, or be one of the top X players who did damage to it? I think that might be how incursions have worked in other events.

No idea about whether I did a certain amount of damage. I'm on PS/NA, so no add-ons to tell me that. I think I looted the incursion, but I don't have pictures to prove that, so maybe it is my fault? I know my quest completed and told me to turn it in when the boss dropped.

Added: I was still logged in on an alt in Malabal Tol while typing the above, and heard a dolmen start. Raced over there and got there just before the final boss, helped the mob of players drop the final boss, and when I looted the final boss corpse I got the regular event box. So you are probably right, you have to be in the top X damage dealers and you only get the event box if you can loot the final boss. The treasure chest from the dolmen which everyone gets did not include the event box.

Glad someone else posted about incursion events. I assume not getting any box at all is because we didn't do enough damage. I did six geysers in summerset with a bunch of other folks. Not a single box.

Considering that ESO wants to appeal to casual players, this seems really short sighted. Many people are never going to do lots of damage.

I was wondering if West Weald was included for higher lead drops from treasure maps in this event. I just dug up 13 maps and got one lead. That seems like normal or less than normal.

There is a fishing bug.

Rare fish is supposed to be curated for now, right? Well, I have a single rare fish left in Galen, the Suncleft Cod, which is found in ocean water. Instead I've fished at least 13 Sea Robins in a row tonight.

I've submitted a bug report, but will there be any kind of fixes during the event?

I don't know about West Weald, but I dug up a Blackwood treasure map and got two (2) different leads for some Ancestral Akaviri pages that I hadn't learned yet.

Event is not dropping golden boxes as described. Just did my first incursion of the day and got no event box

I'm having the same problem in Eastmarch. In foul water, I still need to catch the Modoc Sucker fish, but I've gotten 6 Snipe Eels.

Also, I have only caught one salt water fish in Eastmarch (Golem Shark), and I kept fishing in salt water for about an hour afterwards and did not get a single other trophy fish, only the kind you fillet. It's possible that was just really bad RNG, but I still had all my fishing buffs active and had just been catching trophy fish with no problem, so it seems weird.

Except the witches festival gives one per source, and I thought it might be the same here with how unclear the wording was initially

I thought they said the returning fragments would be cheaper so that we newer players could afford them. The prices look the same to me for:

Sacred Hourglass of Alkosh
Doomchar House
etc.

Both of these cost more than 39 tix, how are we supposed to buy them?

Event tickets are available for purchase in the crown store.

the article says nothing about those fragments being cheaper.

you can buy these fragments if you already have what you need from an event or if you dont like the new things. alternatively you can buy event tickets from the Crown Store

Those fragments tied to previous years' morphing pet are available even outside of this event. The collectibles they are talking about are the ones like the Grave Stake, the Voriplasm, and other collectibles related to a single event. Those items have cheaper prices, since the Grave Stake collectible pieces are only 1 ticket each (which is greatly appreciated by someone who missed them the first time around)

I was fishing Northern Elsweyr and noticed this too. I was using the Artaeum broth, I’ve got Sharp’s trinket and had him out for good measure (because why wouldn’t I take him on a fishing spree?) but didn’t start getting rare fish dropping regularly until I started fishing with actual players.

I wonder if it's certain fishing holes that are bugged out. Fished some completely out of 15 regular fish. Then go to the next hole and catch all four types I need for that zone out of the next spot or two. I know RNG and all that comes with it, but I have done this 3 times now in different zones. This is using all the passive I can stack except fishing with others unless someone else just shows up at random.

Is anyone from ZoS going to address how broken this event is? Know several people who can't get purple boxes at all. One other household member on xbox EU and myself on PC EU.

Something to check:

Are you looting the boss? At a dolmen for example, you only get the purple box when you loot the final boss. If you are not in the top 10 damage on the final boss, you do not get to loot it, and you do not get the purple box. This happens anywhere there are more than 10 players attacking the boss.

For this event, having lots of other players around can be a bad thing. Maybe go to a less populated zone and solo an out of the way dolmen? Post back if you still don't get a purple box. And yes, ZOS should have made this clear in the event description.

Just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed this event and I'm sad it's ending soon.

In other events I've often felt burnt out and ended up just logging in to pick up my box & then logging off for the day. This time I've taken the opportunity to do some more exploring, tick off some of the dark anchors I've never gotten around to doing before, emptied nearly all the treasure maps from my bank, done some world bosses and even done a bit of fishing. I've hardly had time to level any of the alts because my main's been too busy doing things haha
