Dressing Room update - Feb 2025

Looking for a quick swap to "run very fast" gear set - because there are so many maps to do these days. Found "Dressing Room" (works under Minion) - simple enough, memorize two gear sets, hit a button, wear one, hit t'other button, wear t'other. What did not work as well was the number of versions.. Dressing Room Stonethorn, Dressing Room 2015, Dressing Room 2018. Dressing Room Stonethorn looked newer, so tried it... it sorta worked, but had some dependency I never found; where it worked, well, when it wanted to. 2015 was clearly out of date. Ended up with Dressing Room 2018, loaded directly through Minion - works fine. So cool to go to runspeed 200 gear set, find stuff, or quickly back to combat gear set, monster mash. Enjoy!

There’s also alphagear and wizards wardrobe. Alphagear tends to get several branches too and last I tried, doesn’t support scribing. Wizards wardrobe will also switch CP and can set it up to auto swap depending on boss.

Yeah, Dressing Room has a few branches.

The Stonethorn one was the most updated, but that was abandoned before Scribing so it doesn't work since then. The 2018 version is the one that's still being updated.

Some of the Dressing Room's version using my wife. Often she must do /reloadui because she see only question marks instead of abilities icon and DR just not working.

I heard only bad for Alphagear, I never used it tbh.

There is also Bandit's Gear Manager but it is more for RP because it can save appearance things and costumes.

Personaly I using only Wizard's Wardrobe and I considering it as the best.
At least it is updated and have only one branch so you don't have to think about what hell version use

There is a fix for AlphaGear to make it work with scribed abilities, and also to change its behaviour so you don't have to weapon swap after changing gear (same behaviour like Wizard's Wardrobe has). But you have to install it manually because the addon isn't maintained at the moment. There's a how-to if you look on the addon's comment page on esoui.com:

But unless you're used to one of the others, I think Wizard's Wardrobe is probably the best at the moment. When I tried it, I couldn't disable the per-trial-swapping of gear and changing of CP, so I stayed with AlphaGear, but that is objectively worse than WW these days.
