Drastic increase in unbreakable stuns/ccs in PvE right now

Been doing a lot of world events, world bosses etc recently for the event and I’ve noticed an increase in stuns and knockbacks specifically ones with an animation where your character cannot break free. Getting flung around like a rag doll with no opportunity to break free is so much fun when you’re trying to solo a Harrowstorm

The first boss in Blessed Crucible, the giant, your entire group is stun-locked for a few seconds and you just have to wait it out. This never used to be a thing

    I have never liked all the PvE stuns and snares. I understand that was a choice the developers made, however it may simply be unrealistic to expect that this would be reduced. Really not too sure about this.

    I agree that boss design in this game relies too much on stuns, snares, immunity phases, and AoE's flinging out in all directions. To me, if a boss has to disable players to make the fight challenging, or make itself immune while it can heal, it's not challenging. It's just the game cheating. And it's really annoying when each immune phase lasts 15 seconds, and the time between immunity phases lasts 1 second. You hardly have a chance to attack. And don't get me started on the number of adds crutch commonly used...

    (Having said that, I soloed that giant boss earlier today and don't remember being stun-locked. Maybe my bear and Tanlorin bore the brunt of it. Or maybe I stayed out of the red. ;) )

    I’m not referring to crowd control in PvE specifically (yeh they suck) but recently I’ve noticed an issue where you can’t break free from some of them anymore like the first boss in Blessed Crucible.

    It’s usually those tied to an animation like if you’re flung to the ground or send flying through the air. The “stun” appears next to your character and you’re spamming the buttons to break free but nothing, you have to wait for the whole animation to complete and painfully watch as your character slowly rises up from the floor before you can start fighting again

    I was doing a Harrowstorm with my friend the other day and she said “wow I love being stun-locked”. She used the term “stun-locked” which fits it perfectly since your character is locked in the stun animation and you can’t do anything until it’s finished

    Getting stunned in PVE content, especially just doing overland stuff is incredibly annoying. For dungeon/trials stuff it makes more sense, but in overland content it doesn't make anything more difficult, just more annoying.
