Doesnt worked for west weald maps tho... gathered more than 100 maps and not a single lead...
Might be bugged like curated fish drops @ZOS_Kevin could you look into this? opened ticket without response (250125-001184)

Hi, I want to thank the devs for the passive bonus (increased chances to drop Leads from the treasure map) in the current pan-tamriel event.
Thanks to it I finished the 9/9 codex at Apocryphal Well. I hope that similar passive bonuses will appear in ESO in the future.
So once again, thank you very much!
I managed to complete the codex for High Isle last legacy of bretons event and now the ancient daedric one (although it cost me a bit) l. Highly appreciated. I'll leave Telvanni and West Weald for future tho. I dont think i'll be completing them this event

Hi, I have furnishing stuff from West Weald Treasure Maps all full codex, I used to buy maps from the market under 20k/piece and it cost me over 4mil to complete the codex.
For Apocryphal Well I was stuck on 4/9 and opened over 200 maps (I stopped counting at 200) and no gold Lead for the Well, before event. I was at the stage that if I didn't complete a full codex during pan-tamriel I was done with ESO, however the event pleasantly surprised me and only needed around 50-60 maps to make a 9/9 codex.
If you're a codex hunter, I'd recommend putting together a codex now, because as I described above Lead drop (at least for West Weald furnishing and Apocryphal Well) is incredibly *** + not curated, so...

Sorry, I'm a returning player who took a break right around greymoor. Im just now getting into scrying. When you say 9/9 codex, you're meaning that you excavated each item or you excavated each item over and over? I only ask because I saw some leads have multiple entries. Also, when you say codex you mean the times you send the item "out overnight for guild inspection" right? Sorry again, but I haven't really seen this covered in the guides I've seen.

I do that trick for entire motifs leads. You can keep diggin to find every one of them before scrying the first. In my ancient daedric pursuit, i dropped each piece and even found one furniture lead, having 15 leads available for scrying. Of course, it becomes much more rare when you have two or one left. I opened like 10-12 maps just for the last lead. I think there is no limit for that.

In the Bug Reports section, there's a thread on West Weald maps, and in it a poster states that leads are not curated, though. So that means that if you already possess a lead, if the RNG was going to give you that particular lead, it will instead just give you nothing. So you won't get duplicate leads, but it will also not give you new leads. I think I had this experience with IA leads as well.
I honestly hate that some items are only available through this RNG-upon-RNG system. First you need an RNG to get a zone treasure map, then you need ANOTHER RNG to get the lead. It's really depressing and demoralising.
