Skills Losing Progress

On two separate occasions this week, I have had skills progress to the next level and then go back down. Just within the last two hours, I got my bow skill to 50, saw the message pop up on my screen confirming, and then opened my skill menu to see it stuck at 49. Waited a few minutes and then leveled it again. That 2nd time it remained at 50. This is on PS-NA on a PS5.

I was seeing a similar effect with sky shards and delve completion on XB-NA the other night. I assume it's an issue with the server and client getting out of sync due to network issues - something the PC crew have been complaining about for a while. Apparently, DDoS attacks are up in the last while against multiple games/services across the board, which might explain things.0
