There seems to be a "soft-lock" cheat that is available in TOT.

After my opponent performed their turn, their turn timer ran out.

At that point, the turn didn't proceed to my turn. Normally, when this type of thing happens, it means that one has lagged out of the game.

In this case, there wasn't a connection issue.

Chat still worked.

I left the TOT match and wasn't kicked out of ESO.

I saw the score that I lost.

And when back in the world, everything was as normal with plenty of players moving around.

Perhaps there can be a bug like this, but the opponents @ name, which I wont post here, just so happened to be a reference to the game issue that I experienced.

So is there cheating in TOT? This was a suspicious game to say the least.

I have not experienced this, but there are all sorts of weird bugs that sometimes can be experienced only once. A long time ago I had a game where the playing field was displayed DIAGONALLY so that I was not able to see the hourglass at all (and thus was not able to finish my turns manually). Happened when I accepted the game in Skywatch near the staircase where sometimes I get a loading screen for no reason (as if I was traveling to another location) . It just happened that I accepted the game right before getting that loading screen.

Just a minute ago I got cheated in a way that I've never saw before. It seemed to be a terrible hack: I got notified of a match to start, I accepted it, absolutely nothing happened, I just got removed from the queue and the match never started. But I lost 150 points, got a deserter penalty of 10 minutes and dropped from top 10% to 18%... all of it in a fraction of second just by clicking to accept the match. I never even had the opportunity to see who was the player.

There was some kind of exploit that was abused really early on, but I'm postivie that is fixed now.

I think that when this issue happens now, and what you described has happend to others, it's just some kind of game bug rather than something that is being taken advantage of.
