Which has always been a problem, but in an event that encourages people to spam fishing way more than the player base usually does? Fishing Holes are drying up after two or three casts, or sometimes as soon as you get there, because there are SO many people fishing now. And the spawn timers are horrible, especially for Hole types that already have a smaller number of spawn locations (like Foul).
I don't suppose it would be possible to like...decrease the timer so they spawn more frequently during the event? I haven't seriously fished in years because it just takes so long and is so tedious, but with curated drops (once they get it fixed), I figured I might as well try to get some of the Dyes and work towards the Fishing Vessel furnishing. But with as quickly as Holes dry up and as infrequently as they spawn, the curated drops don't matter. What good is getting Trophy Fish you haven't earned when you only manage one or two casts before you're spending minutes running around looking for another Hole? It may as well be fishing outside of the event without curated drops for all the time you aren't saving.
Idk, I only spent about an hour doing it before I had to hop off. Am I jumping the gun and you actually DO save time with curated drops despite how few and far between certain Holes are? For zones where the curated drops are working, that is.
Also petition to do something to make fishing at least a little more engaging somehow. Add like...idk...line tension and actual reel mechanics? Make it a minigame of sorts?
