I get a decent amount of the purple rune, but I would say the armor and weapons purples are nearly as rare as the yellow ones for me at least so yea im kinda agreeing with you.

I rarely find any epic weapons & gear under regular conditions (excluding Dungeons & World Bosses) & have yet to find any legendary weapons & gear. I have better luck getting Epic & Legendary mats from refining stuff I harvest & mine from the higher leveled (V6+) veteran zones, than from any other area. Then there's the hirelings that I get lucky with every few days.

Brass the OP is referring to purple crafting materials. yes the purple equipment drops are rare also. Ive only found 2. luckily I could actually use one of them.

It would help the odds a bit. Mining ore & whatnot yields additional chances for obtaining these mats. Not a ton, but enough.

If you got the Gold & don't feel like taking time to search for the resources, you could always buy it from folk in raw ore & lumber form. Or trade something in exchange.

I used to get plenty... used to be I'd spend a morning and grab a few hundred ore and as I have the level 3 'improve level of materials dropped' in my crafting skills if I had to guess out of the materials the ratio would be around 4:3:2:1 from green down to gold. As of one of the last couple of patches that ratio has shifted to more like 4:3:0.5:1.

So still seeing plenty of green,decent blue and rare bu regular gold... just seeing much less purple in comparison.

Really wondering if they messed up a number somewhere.

I have a few free hours today so I might spend some time back in Rivenspire and grab a bunch of orc ore and actually start making a note of the drop rates. Even allowing for RNG grief I should be able to work out a rough rate.

I get purple and gold mats from refining both ore and wood occasionally. I haven't seen any particular increase or decrease in the rate at which I get them. It's purely RNG, you're probably just having a bad run of luck at the behest of the RNG goblins.

I also still get them occasionally from the woodworking and blacksmithing chests I get daily from my hirelings.

Quite honestly though, the purple and gold improvement mats should be rare and difficult to obtain. Otherwise everyone would be running around in full purple and gold gar all the time which would completely destroy any value and rarity they currently have.

I got a load of purple rune. But armor/weapon, i got only 1 so far from a reward from a quest. I have a friend who has already gotten over 20 drop in an hour from the world mobs. So it is either broken or he is dam lucky Regarding purple material, I got majority of it from Hireling, but they are rare as well as deconstructing. But I find that fair.
