I've seen this argument repeatedly. So...they're v12? That means you can't get there? Stops your game play? Stops your crafting, world exploration, questing? The only advantage they have is pvp and that's really slight and will be slight with the improvement(nerf) patches coming later on. I guess I don't see where the huge advantage is. There's going to be console players that buff up in level faster than you. I don't see where the transfers are any different or gain any real advantage from it.
I don't understand why you would switch to console if you already have the pc version.
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with consoles; I'm not a pc elitist; I have a console myself... but I have specific preferences for what I play on my console and what I play on pc; (MMO) RPGs fall very definately in the pc category for me while JRPGs and it's like fall in the console category

-characters only transfer if you start playing before end of June. Not cool. What if console players want or cannot afford to start in June.
SNIP...SNIP
-players who play it now on pc who are gonna transfer their characters will be way ahead of them curve, new players will be at a major disadvantage.
Lack of RPG for next gen is more that RPG takes long to develop, you will get some like Withcer 3 who also is ported from pc.wrlifeboil wrote: »Potential positives:
- no really good rpgs for new gen consoles have taken hold yet so there is no entrenched or signature rpg yet
- they have additional time to fix the bugs in the game that we PC gamers are finding; wouldn't be surprised if there are problems with phasing in the console version too;
- expected release would be near the start of the holiday shopping season when Sony and Microsoft will be advertising their consoles like crazy which will in turn generate interesting in software
Potential negatives:
- the lack of decent rpgs on the XBox One or PS4 may indicate that the console audience isn't all that interested in rpgs
- the company doing the port can't get eso to run well on the console with all the bells and whistles in the PC version given the hardware limitations; maybe the phasing and grouping problems unsolvable on the consoles
- throw in realization that they will have to deal with the additional headaches of updates, patching, etc. typical for console platforms

PCs....not so much, they have to be specced for it and you have to spent considerably more to get the desired outcome.

You don't need a £1500 PC to run ESO on max settings. You could prob get one for about £500 without a monitor that will work just fine.
Still unknown how console version will work. Is it with max settings at 1080p @ 60 fps? Probobly not. But will see in 6 months.
It require some discipline. However I have been in PvP with 40 in teamchat and it worked well, we was to many for one raid group so we used two.METALPUNKS wrote: »Requiemslove wrote: »That and for £400-£500 [and probably cheaper in 6 months or so] you can have the same specs as you would for spending £1,500 on a gaming rig PC, that, and as I mentioned better security and less bots. I'm guessing it will be. Look at ff14 arr on ps4. Also pretty much every game on ps4 runs at that so I bet eso would as well. Xboxone may struggle a bite though, I only say this because it has a few games at a lower framerate than ps4 and also there really isn't a game like this for it yet. Ps4 has dcuo, ff14, both running at 1080p 60fps. When I saw my friend running ff14 on ultra settings and then saw it on my ps4 the difference was so hard to even see. My biggest concern is voice chat for those 12 man trials.
