New Character Jewelry Issue

My character is level 44. Her jewelry crafting level is 50. When I find level 50 rings or necklaces they are still in red saying my level isn't high enough to get anything from them in decon.

Engraver is level 5.
Jewelry Extraction is level 3.
Plating Expertise is level 3.
Champion Points are 2106 and applied.

I can create level 50 items so why are the rings and necklaces still red and give me no tempers? Also the only mats I can find are copper. :/

    Not sure as I'm not in the game right now but I think you have to put skill points into the jewelry passives OR there is a champion point under the green tree for that.

    I've maxed out all the passives and still nothing. I wonder if she needs to be character level 45 or 50? It has been so long since I had a new character. :(

    Deconstruction is based on character level.

    If you can't equip it, you can't get anything from deconing it.

    (Meanwhile, if you can equip it, you can get all the materials from CP 160 gear even with only rank 1 crafting skills)

    Ah so I do need to be level 50 then. Thank you! I knew this would be some brain fart on my side! :)

    I'm currently on a lvl 21 character, Jewelry is at 50, Engraver is at 5/5, no other passives have any points in them.

    I just deconned a lvl cp 160 intricate ring which was obviously red because too low to equip it, I got platinum ounces back..... are intricate items different?

    Ok @Seravi so I just tried with a green Spinner's item and a blue reduce feat cost item both cp160, again both red, got items back from both so I don't know why you aren't getting anything back......

    Other than the fact this lvl 21 character does have Meticulous Disassembly(green tree) slotted! :)

    I train up all my crafting alts by deconning everything I loot with my main toons. I always get mats back.
