A vert creative player has recreated Brenda from the Life Festival.
She is in Eastmarch. Perfect rendition of Brenda.
Totally fooled me when I logged in at the Eastmarch Festival location.
I thought, "What the heck? This is over why is she here?"
Then she tossed petals at me. Still confused until I looked at the player name.
Love this type of creativity!

ChaoticWings3✭✭✭I got fooled by somebody posing as the vendor in Summerset. Had the scholar personality on too. I literally stood there for like 20 seconds trying to figure out why I couldn't interact with the vendor, jumping around randomly as I did so, until I realized it was a player. XD Honestly got me good.7 -

It's still that (at least in the German translation). Of course different wording and pronounciation in different translations can make a difference in interpretation, but to me it doesn't sound negative in any way. Just a factual statement about what she's busy with the rest of the year (and maybe an explanation why she is only there for a few weeks).@Syldras | PC | EU

✭✭✭✭✭I have seen a player standing next to the Khajiit guild trader in Alinor that looked just like him, was making the same gestures and everything. I also saw one in Vivec City, maybe the same player, that looked just like the Khajiit guild trader there too. I have to laugh out loud and admire someone who goes to the trouble of creating what looks like an exact copy. It was just a pleasant surprise in my ordinary day.

It's still that (at least in the German translation). In English I think it's a syntax problem with the placement of the world "only" in front of the job instead of the time she performs that job. "I am a New Life Herald only during the festival" would make it clear it's a time-limited position rather than intimating it's a lesser position by saying "only a New Life Herald."
To me it always did sound like she didn't much care for being the Herald and would rather be elsewhere, but she was dealing with it by drinking copious amounts of mead.
As for players dressing up as NPCS, I once got fooled by the Luxury Goods imposter in Cold Harbour. Could not figure out why I couldn't interact with him. I had a good laugh once I realized.6 -

If you really want to seal the deal, start talking to players about the Coral Heart or the Muth Gnar monks. Every time I hear those lines, I know good old Tythis is around somewhere.2 -
