Honestly, thanks for the Golden Pursuits activity options.

I don't have much to ramble about here. Just wanted to say thank you. There were a lot of options to hit 20/20 for the Golden Pursuits, but I noticed that several of them involved making a new character... and yeah, used those as an excuse to finally make my last two alts. I kept saying that I'd make a cryomancer warden or a magicka necromancer, but then I'd never do it. This gave me that kick in the pants to get going, and I rather like my new fellows.

It's been kind of interesting to play them, too. I've only ever used a frost staff from time to time on a tank character as a back-bar option, but the passives on the warden class mean that I can totally get away with using it! It's an absolutely viable option, which is wild and bizarre to me after so many years. :-D I love it. The necromancer is really fun, too... though I can understand why some people don't like the class. Balancing corpse usage takes getting used to, and the mobile nature of fighting in this game means that my corpse piles from the last fight are usually too far away to help me in the new one. Makes me appreciate the crux system that Arcanists have all the more, but I'm still having a great time and I think I nailed the goth-babe aesthetic on my avatar.

Oh, and I learned something off-kilter in the middle of all of this: neck size actually affects character hair. I was adjusting my necromancer to shrink her jaw size down (bit too square by default) and thought I'd tweak her neck size down a smidge as well. That second choice was a BAD call. It pulled her hair closer to her head, caused her left ear to clip out of said hair more than desired during certain emotes, and yeah... bought another appearance token and set her back to default on ye olde neck. Lesson learned. :-D Goodbye, 1000 crowns. Guffaw

But yeah, that's it. The Golden Pursuits got me to do things in this game that I don't normally do, which I imagine was one of the goals. Even ran through a raid for the first time. I had a lot of fun doing this. Thanks again. Also, Happy New Year to you ladies and gents.

Agree, same here. Never wanted to create an Arcanist due to the color but being able to make the beam blue + the Golden Pursuit requiring levels, gave me the push. Now my Arcanist has become my official number 4 out of the 12 characters I have - really enjoying her!
Also... She was way easier/faster to level because of the beam. And she received compliments on her look day one XD

Same here, I am a 'I play one character and don't change characters' type person, but used this as an opportunity to make a new character and try out a new class.

Sadly, I couldn't use the arcanist as I don't have it, but I did make a warden using a bow. I also made the decision to not level up using the quests (as I hadn't been sure I wanted to keep the new character, though it is looking like I will) so just went out and hunted (anything and everything that moved) for the exp.

I am currently in a Vvardenfell public dungeon and only need one more level to get the styles (then have to wait until I can get gold road to use them) but did use those levels to not touch any of the PvP or group content on the pursuit lists.

Good news: Gold Road is not needed to equip class skill styles!
Gold Road only gives access to skill styles that require West Wield achievements to get them.
You don't need to unlock Scribing to apply a skill style that comes from the class bundle. You'll be able to equip those as soon as you redeem the bundle after having reached level 50 with your alt.
Enjoy your warden! I main one and it's fantastic.

    Thanks!

I had asked earlier (when it was first announced you could get free styles with two level 50 characters) and was told that I would need West Weald to equip them.

I think I like my main sorceror a bit better, but it could just be that I am more used to it (plus, he is like my main character for just about every single game I play :P) but the warden is interesting!
