Master writ feature

I dont know how possible it is but id love to see the note on master writs before we use them if we have the motif or trait learned for it so we dont go wasting them i know you can just go to collections and look but its a nightmare sometimes

If you're on PC, you could use the WritWorthy addon.

It would be nice if a similar function would be added to ESO itself, though.

If you use WritWorthy, there's another addon called WritWorthy Inventory marker that has an icon that show if you know the Motif and don't have the style stone and if you know the Motif and have the style stone to craft.

WritWorthy is a great addon to queue up crafting all the Master Writs you have.

@AllenaNightWood If you're on console (or don't use add-ons on PC) check the "Lore Library" under "Journal" - you gain access to it by completing the Mages Guild questline. The Eidetic Memory lists all the books and if they're were already read/collected or not by the char.

While that's easier than looking through the sticker book, it is a *very* long list!

You don't even need the Eidetic Memory unlocked to see what motifs you've learned.

Journal--Lore Library--Crafting Motifs: it's the first section in the Lore Library and arranged alphabetically. It's very handy and I use it all the time to check if I can make whatever the master writ wants.

It may be long but at least it's ordered alphabetically. Easy to search.

Too bad it doesn't have an actual "Search" function similar to that in the Inventory menus.

isnt the style in tooltip of the writ in red when you dont know the style - or is that an add on?

Not on XBox when looking at the writ in your inventory prior to actually accepting it. You basically have to look up both the set and the style on-line if you don't immediately recognise them.

Once you've accepted it, then you can find out you don't have the needed style or access to the crafting location (because it's in a chapter you don't own), but it's too late to offer it on to someone else who can use it.
