Ten Suggestions from a Console Player for 2025 for Devs

Hey, I thought with a lot of people providing feedback/suggestions at the moment I thought I would suggest 10 things myself for 2025 you could implement

1. Crown Store - With this constantly adding new items could you look to add old items into achievements that are either currently in the game or some new ones? An example would be the Trifecta achievements that don't currently have a title or reward such as Fang Lair; I always thought the perfect reward would be getting the Unholy Glow Bone Dragon non-combat pet or a new set of achievements for it to add replayability. You could even offer endeavours as compensation to anyone who previously purchased these crown store items?

2. Content Release Schedule - With the change from Chapters; can content be released at the same time on both PC & Console? As someone that is on Xbox EU; it has taken away from a lot of creativity/excitement about content releases. I've known people who have moved to PC because of this.

3. Cross-Play - I was disappointed that in the letter there wasn't a mention regarding the population situation on Xbox EU.

Here is the situation currently from me as a Guild Leader from observation:

Trials
• We have got to the point where there are only about 7 teams that have completed the hard mode of Lucent Citidel
• We have around 700 active trial players across the server (this includes normals)
• Two teams have the trifecta for VLC (it might be one) but they usually consist of members that get the trifectas first each release I'm not sure how that compares to PC but it might give those on PC an idea of how many players of that level are currently on the server
Infinite Archive
• The Archive on Sunday had some classes max at 40 or 50 for the solo weekly leaderboard; people weren't even ending a run with each character for easy transmutes.
• There are probably around 300 players that play this each week on the server
PVP
• Grayhost is the only active server and it usually doesn't get full population; there is about 1500 characters each month on the leaderboard
• Battlegrounds if not during peak hours would usually take up to an hour sometimes to find a match if you are not solo
Dungeons
• If you use the activity finder after 11pm at night for a specific dungeon; you are probably looking at a 30 minute wait
Group Activity Finder
• This usually has a few dungeons listed and just one trial most of the time on the server

So yeah it is not the greatest of experiences at the moment; it might be time to see if we can merge with Playstation EU come late 2025?

4. Megaserver Maintenance - Could the weekly maintenance be throughout the night for EU rather than throughout the day if that is possible? I know it might be an issue of staff costing/availability but I think that can easily be recovered by giving people more playtime throughout the day and patching when the majority is asleep.

5. Mythics - I would love to see either a timed event or a way to permanently you would be able to gain the power of one mythic you have unlocked instead of having to equip one. Similar to the Mundus Stones having one of those activated each time; it would allow for more build diversity in the game. You could have something you deposit them into (it could even be a merchant on the crown store to swap between them in overland etc)

6. Infinite Archive - After playing multiple runs (the best I got to was 17 4 3) I think the archive has been a great addition; I did post two bugs currently into the bug section on the forums. I do however think that there needs to be nerfs to two of the bosses in there currently
Lady Belain - If you encounter her at high arcs the damage over time is too high for most classes
Laatvulon - His outer AOE needs a visual but also the width of the ice breath needs to be reduced; this boss is usually a run killer if experienced high arcs
Finally PLEASE ADD A REROLL OF VISIONS

7. Scribing Armory Station - Please can we save our current Scribe skills to the Armory station;; I think people have mentioned this in other posts previously

8. Armory Assistant & Scribe Altar Infinite Archive - Please allow us to use the Armory Assistant in the Infinite Archive since it's not a timed event. Leaving each time to change a build can become tedious. Can you also look at adding a Scribe Altar inside the Infinite Archive?

9. Deconstruct Mythics for Transmutes - Please can we deconstruct a mythic for transmutes; I'm not sure if this used to be available and was removed for some reason

10. Scribing 2025 - I hope that Scribing is still added to in 2025 with potentially the ability to add set effects to the skills

Thanks for taking the time to read

@ZOS_Kevin Can you pass this along as one player's perspective from console to the devs please

The biggest issue for XBOX EU is definitively the low population. The team should really try to make adjustments for Server with very low populations, as long as merging the server with PlayStation EU isn't in the cards.

It really feels like a downwards spiral, because less and less players are there, the waiting times for BGs and even Dungeons getting longer and longer. A player of our guild just recently decided to come back to the game, wanted to do pledges at some later hour and was in a que for nearly 2 hours (not even sure if he ever got into a dungeon that night).

It also leads for Cyrodiil being extremely unbalanced.

And because of that I would also suggest put an Amory Station at the beginning for the BGs. If you have to wait for so long to get into a BG, you should be able to do something else in between, so if you get into it, it should be possible for you to change your setup (BEFORE the BG starts, obviously not during one).

One thing you guys should also consider at least: PTS on Console. Do it similarly like Minecraft does it with their "Preview" Releases. Yeah ESO is a very big game and installing it two times would make it difficult for some people, however people on console should also have the ability to play test things before release and should also voice their opinion on pre release things.

And if you guys really want to upgrade ESO to 2025 add a nice dynamic background to your Xbox game, similar to Redfall , or Starfield. For a Microsoft Company you should really integrate your Game better with xbox

PSNA I have never seen Blackreach full. I don't play Greyhost so I can't comment on that. On the rare occasion I go to Ravenswatch is also isn't full.

The IA only the first or second arc. IA isn't content I enjoy.

A big yes to deconstructing mythics. I have a number I would like to get rid of but I can't seem to just destroy them because it seems then I wasted my resources.

Queuing for a does indeed take a long time. I try to avoid it.

If the console and the PC release schedules are far enough apart I fear for the consoles. It already feels like we are an afterthought. I think we will be basically ignored.

I might be in the minority here, but I actually think its good that consoles get the release a little bit later considering we also get the first few hotfixes directly, while pc is kinda the guinea pig to see how the update actually performs on the live server.

The Elder Scrolls Online is a big and well known game that have existed for 10 years on Console.

Zos have said themselfs that they made 2 billion dollars on Eso.

We should expect that Zos as many other big games can release new content to ALL their players at the same time.

Im hoping the new seasons will release at the same time to ALL players.

It works in every other game i played, I would understand if Eso where a small and completely new game but there is litterally no excuse to treat console players like this.

They can put out events/Golden pursuit at the same time so thats a start at least.

Trials - not my thing. I've seen our guild have a Prog Team and a Casual Team go to barely being able to get anything together

Dungeons - I agree, can be a long wait if not on the hot list for gear, or not part of pledges. Even on pledge day, there seems to be a wait if you are late to the party.

I can't really comment on the other bits in fairness.

    RE: Cyrodiil
I am not sure how others feel, but a thought or two to increase some population (I am XB | EU | GH). I don't think these ideas are new.

Some kind of regular Cyrodiil event. When Whitestrake's is on, you can't get in for quite a lot of that event at peak. I am not saying replace it, or make these events similar to WSM, but events are clearly a draw if the right rewards are on offer. I know BGs have events from time to time, but don't play it to see what the uptake is. Should servers be able to handle the concurrency levels of 2014 (or at least, more than currently), the draw of the event might bring in enough players to inflate the pops, and might be enough to keep them around until the next event - because fuller bars = more stuff going down!

Maybe extend the 3 tiers for AP so that it takes a bit longer to get. Anyone in the 30 day camp will play for quite a lot of those 30 days, so time won't matter as much (Probably unpopular if you have different toons ofc). Hopefully, that would keep those who dip in just for the rewards around longer to keep population topped up.

To me, Cyro is the best part of the game. I wish I was better at it, but even still, the way the map ebbs and flows makes for enough dynamism to keep us coming back.
