Inventory & Containers.

I realise I probably sound very petty, but it's been one of my pet peeves for quite a while now, so I feel like adressing it, since no one else has done that.

So you're doing your daily crafting writs, and you get all these wonderful containers in your inventory. Nice. Now you open one. Where did the contents go? Scroll up! Okay. Nice. Where did the other container go? Scroll down. Open one. Where did the contents go? Scroll up! Oh, there's another container. Open it. Where did the contents go? Scroll down!

To me, it's far handier if the things you unpack just all go up in your inventory, just like new items. Instead of having to scroll up and down and up and down.

Makes sense, no?

I realise this is a confusing read. What I mean to say is:

New containers: Top of inventory. Stuff that comes out of them: Top of inventory.

    ..easy does it.

You can sort your inventory so it works like that.

On PC (default UI), the default sort is by 'new' on top. If you click on the header for Name, then it will sort everything alphabetically and keep it alphabetical the whole time, even if you get new stuff. You can also sort by value if you want.

That way it doesn't pop around.

if you play on pc, I highly recommend this addon:

It modifies the ESO UI to display more information without scrolling.

You can do this (or a version of it anyway) without any addons.

When I've finished my daily crafting writs I open my inventory and use the tabs at the top to select Consumables > Containers so only the containers are showing. That gives me a short list I can work my way down from the top so I don't need to scroll at all. Then once I've opened all of them I switch back to showing everything and all the new items I got out the containers are at the top of the list.
