[Housing] Issues with Autumn's Gate

I'll weigh in here regarding Autumn's Gate. I almost never do housing related things, but had a guild event so I put together Autumn's Gate. I like the idea of a quaint cottage. And it is nice, but has some design flaws.

First and foremost, the splash screen is wrong. Autumn's Gate doesn't come with a side room or second floor. This splash screen is more in line with the larger structures from the Pact such as Old Mistveil Manor...

The thing that I really dislike about Autumn's gate is that the inside windows make no sense whatsoever. Firstly, the side windows are both covered up by the stone wall that creates the front lawn. You can see the window frame right there and the wall fusing into it.

This makes extra work on the inside of the home. You can see to the right of the image that I had to cover the window up with something because it doesn't make sense for it to exist.

One other thing that I'll point out is that, for the safety of those inside, it doesn't make sense for their to also be windows in the back of the house. In this case the window has been covered up with the book shelf that you see in the above image. Technically, that window would be facing the back of the home where there is no stone wall protecting the building.

You can see how the home could be compromised on it's back side by the windows here. Instead of covering up the side windows, why doesn't the stone wall go around the entire building? Or why are there these back side windows?

Lastly, there is a loft area that isn't really friendly to access. One can make a second floor within Autumn's gate, but it seems like there is some kind of invisible barrier that prevents one from going as high as the loft area is.

I wouldn't mind to see some updates to this home. That's especially since there is enough real estate around it to make some changes and bring some sense to it all.

I don’t think they have different loading screen artwork for every different house in a certain style. For instance, I think it’s Twin Arches that has the artwork for the interior of a larger Redguard house like Silent Magnifico.

There are a lot of inconsistencies for the outside versus inside of houses that others have pointed out many times here on the forums. I try not to get too worked up about it since housing rarely ever gets changed. I recently picked up Autumn’s-Gate because it had a small courtyard. The floor plan for Grymharth’s Woe is better but the lack of a courtyard is a turn-off. I noticed that Old Mistveil Manor is essentially the same interior as Grymharth’s Woe (though it has a strange short, narrow foyer that is not reflected in the exterior) but the larger courtyard makes it 3 times more expensive when bought with gold. I couldn’t justify spending that much more gold for it just for that, though it would be nice to have. At least with the various Khajiit houses as they increase in cost, the interiors get larger, especially for Serenity Falls.
