Why is stealth disabled in 4v4 BG?

In 4v4 BG you cannot crouch and enter stealth, why is that?

    First of all, don't play 4v4. NEVER play 4v4.

    I try not to, unless I absentmindedly re-queue forgetting to set it back to 8v8 bc the game can't be arsed for basic QoL.

    Are you sure about that? CP is disabled in BG, so stealth is not as affective, but I still see ( or don't see) NB's disappear all the time.

    Stealth is perfectly fine in 4v4 BGs. I play a NB and easily disengage and disappear constantly. You just have to wait until you’re not in combat or close enough to any opposing players for them to detect you.

    Your enemies are using detect potions? I never BG without them, personally.

    No, I mean crouch. Invisibility works fine, but you can't crouch and enter stealth. You're permanently detected. At least I only noticed this in Deathmatch 4v4, specifically the arena map.

    Well, unless they were always watching me invisible themselves, I don't think anyone had line of sight on me at the time when I tried to enter crouch behind a pillar. I hadn't been attacking anyone prior either, if the concern of lingering DoTs might arise).
