Is there a way to turn off the effects in Lucent Citadel?

I’ve only run LC twice, both times as pugs, and both times I’ve had to log off afterwards. There is something about that trial that just makes me completely nauseous. I think it might be the lighting/effects but I’m not sure. This is the only instance that causes me to be ill in the entirety of the game so do I just not run LC?

If you’re on PC, turn off bloom in video settings. You could also try things like reducing brightness and contrast using a mod like reshade or system settings.

Then yeah, your best bet is seeing if there's a setting you can find somewhere to reduce brightness or contrast or can try turning up the brightness of the physical room you're in.

To be fair, this is not unique to ESO.

But this is the only MMO forums I've seen with pages upon pages of feedback consisting of people requesting less flashy, bright, and busy VFX though -- even a lot saying that some newer VFX were triggering actual health issues. And that was a year ago if not longer ago where that thread was active.... but here we are, still.
