Concede penalty completely futile and simply a way to annoy players

There is ZERO reason for a concede penalty. I am tired to explain why.

But ok, keep it. I will now concede irrespectively and just log on another character.

A waste of player time but ok. Time that I won't use to play. But if that is what ZOS wants us to spend time on logon screen...

People wouldnt leave the battlegrounds if they were enjoying themselves.

I've said this on other threads, but one has to wonder why they extended the concede penalty to 30 minutes. It's a head scratcher for sure.

It prevents easy box farm. But even with penalty people often team up and farm boxes in casual matches. You can detect it in cases when you repeatedly find a match but they refuse to play. That means they wait for their party to get in and concede instantly.

Most players don't try to exploit the rules. those that do should be banned from the game completely with an appeal process

I just had to drop a game because the person, for four turns in a row, took nearly the entire turn length to figure out what they were going to do.

I feel like you should generally have an idea of what you're going to do on that turn, be it what card you're going to imprison or what card you're going to buy.

But no, it took like 10 seconds for them to figure out what card they were imprisoning. Each time.

Is that what ranked play is like?

I haven't played ranked play in a long time, but my guess would be yes, that is what ranked play is like-- because most players who play ranked matches are probably concerned about their ranking, more so than being concerned with having fun (which is more what casual matches are supposed to be for).

I just assumed people once actually playing for their rank would have planned their turn out a little in advance.

I'm just mildly frustrated due to how long that took and then losing 3 games in a row from some god-awful RNG. It's pretty clear when the game is impossible for you to win and yet "oopsies we have to punish you for 10 minutes because you don't want to waste your time! :):):)"

Half of the games are like that. I do not understand what you do in ranked game if you have to contemplate what to do with your 3 golds for a whole minute. I'm not even exaggerating here. Some people are just...I don't know what. They are not even slow. They are insecure. They can't even decide what card to buy in a GAME where it doesn't really matter. One player resently actually lost gold because they had about 20 of it, and just couldn't decide how to use all of that in one turn, and so they run out of time. I almost felt sorry for them, but didn't because by then I was so damn furious about the whole game taking forever because one person can't just play the game. They act like their whole life depends on one card and if they buy a wrong one, their head will explode or something.

Then there are people who are doing something else while playing. Those I want to slap through internet. You know they have YouTube or something going on because they take half a minute to start their turn. When they finally start, they play normally, but it takes forever again. So I just find something else to do too, because if they can waste my time I can waste theirs and we are even.

I admit I'm sometimes guilty of the latter, but usually on my first turn. I do my first action, click the hourglass, then change a Youtube video and then within seconds realize "crap I didn't actually click the dang hourglass"
