Finally finished the Scribing line

Took a few evenings, but done. And now I realize...it's the first skill line that I can't actually initially use (besides that soulgem skill). Kind of disappointing really.

The quest line is an introduction to a new system. Then you build the system and utilize it. It’s really not bad after finishing the quest line you will begin to get drops on any character.

How so? You get one free Scribed Skill. You can't use Psijic until you do more quests, and Vampire and Werewolf are also locked once you finish their intro quests. It is more work to do all 4 wings that unlock scripts and script drops (Indrik and Dragon give you the most upfront for free with no grinding drops.)

Scripts are a bit of a grind at first, but I've been unlocking it on new chars and have saved up the scripts I need from all this time of doing dailies, so for each char it's set up within like 10 minutes.

Trick is to bank any Script that you don't currently need, especially if it seems potentially helpful, such as Defile if you play PvP or Flame Damage if you use it. Then you'll get multiple of those instead of multiple of ones you don't need.

Firstly, it's not even a skill line. It's a skill system.

Secondly, Psijic line is gated behind doing the quests to unlock its skills and passives. On obtaining the skill line all you get is the Psijic Portal spawns and no actual skills.

Thirdly, unlike skill lines, you only have to do the full questline on one character per account (Which unlocks all the sources of Scripts, Luminous Ink and the Soul Burst Grimoire).

After that, every other character only needs to do the very first quest (The one where you initially go in, open the doors, blow up the altar and subsequently fix it and obtain your free Wield Soul scribe) and they have full access to the system. (They even get the ability to obtain scripts before this point, they just can't use a scribing altar until after this first quest).

Which is way better than skill lines which need to be leveled up on each individual character (Or purchased from the Crown Store to get instant rank 10). The only thing that's somewhat annoying is that Scripts and Grimoires are individual to each character (Though, discounted if you've already obtained them on a character. With Grimoires going from 50k gold to 10k gold)

Yea those are good points. I have some things I'd like to try, but it's looks like I have some more then just complete the scribing system.

Seems everything in the game has to be a grind nowadays with no guarantees.
At least when I'm doing my actual day job I'm guaranteed getting a paycheck.

Yea...Psijic order skill line showed us just how much sadly. Still...I have some hope with Scribing, but it looks like it'll take a lot of time.
