I think people like THEMES and creativity with this new system. I wish they released class skill lines with a matching color-

For example I’m really liking all these purple options for my sorcerer- my IA build is almost entirely purple and it’s actually really awesome lol

Absolutely not. Skill Styles is a visual customization system, it has nothing to do with the function of skills themselves, nor should it. I do think it would be neat to be able to change types in certain situations but not within the bounds of Skill Styles in its current form.

Take the new arctic wind style, it is supposed to be an Ice Spell but now looks like a Fire spell, if someone you're fighting against is using this skill you may think they are using a fire based attack.

It doesn't look like fire to me. It looks like fart gas which is way worse lol
