Is accusing of cheating the new ToT trend ?

For the second time in maybe five games, my opponent accused me of cheating and definitely reported me. At first, it was kind of funny; the guy was threatening to get my account banned unless I forfeited (it was an unranked game, wth??), but now that it has occurred again, I'm starting to get worried for my 8-year-old account if at some point the moderators decide there are too many reports of cheating.

The first guy claimed I was using an external app to get the best draw possible, something like that ? Even tho I'm just a psijic patron player.

I reported both of them because I consider threatening of getting your account banned just because you're salty of losing should be regarded as reportable. So far I got a reply for my first report, saying it wasn't considered an issue and the report got no outcome.

Anyone else had something similar recently ? Or maybe it's a thing for years. Anyway, it kinda ruins the experience and had me concerned for my account and character I love

Should I add they picked awful patrons like crows and orgnum, heh.

Yes, it happens once in a while - I wouldn't worry about it. Not surprised by the Sorcerer King choice!

In my experience, ToT players are toxic. Often.

I have had people whisper me after an unranked game to troll me and tell me how bad I am…. after I lost! Unprovoked and no other chat, just a random troll whisper.

I reported them but nothing happens. I wouldn’t worry about it.

This is absolutely the reason I will never, play against other players ever again!

I really enjoy ToT but very soon after it released, I realised npc's were the way I would go.

I enjoy PVP but in the turmoil of Cyrodiil or IC, I find hate whispers way easier to just ignore, when you are in a 1 v 1 situation in ToT the whispers are way more personal and those I cannot just brush off!! 😕

this kind of thing happens in literally every facet of pvp in this game lol

you roll someone in pvp (be in BGs, cyro, IC, or tribute), and theres potentially a good chance you will get some kind of hate whisper or someone claiming your cheating because they lost lol

If they threaten to report you, report them. That's harassment on their part, and they could definitely use a break from what it sounds like.

If you go offline while you play, they can't message you. I was there was a built-in feature to temporarily mute the opponent, like every other online card game has where the opponent can speak to you or emote. Once someone pulls you into an argument or something, it's much harder.

I've mostly had nice convos with people after ToT matches. I wish there was a built-in way to say hi and GG other than messaging someone, which really, really distracts me when I'm trying to think about the game.

This is one of the primary reasons I don't play ToT against other players. There is definitely a core of players who think they are the Phil Hellmuth of ToT. The game isn't very fun to begin with. Annoying strategies and toxic clowns make it not worth the time

You won't be banned don't worry. Next time take a screenshot of what they said if you can. Last time I reported something clearly over the line, they told me it wasn't against the rules. I asked how and described how it was very clearly against the rules and they asked me what I was even reporting. I gave them a screenshot and an approximate time the issue occurred. And they were like oh yeah sorry, that is against the rules and took action against the user.

I think they need screenshots sometimes. So, just screenshot it and send it in too if you're able.

I'm just curious what patrons you had going?
