eh, for me undaunted keys are almost unneeded right now

have all of the monster stuff collected, and have all of those new skill styles bought

basically nothing worth buying with keys right now, even the monster style pages when they show up are better cost ratio to buy from the archive vendor lol

I am the opposite. I just bought the last of the shoulders I need for the stickerbook. I save the fortunes for leads I can’t get.

that is true, but i have no intention of selling them lol, i buy 1 copy to use for myself and thats all i really care about

if im only looking to get the 1 copy for myself, buying with undaunted keys is horrifically overpriced for the same item

15k fortunes for the monster page is basically 1 arc 4 clear, which is about 1.5-2 hours of time

50 undaunted keys is 9 6-key pledges, if you could keep each dungeon to an avg of 20 min (including queue times), that would be about 180 minutes (3 hours) for 49 keys

Yes, yes. I think that another factor is how one uses the keys. I've always gotten the random boxes because I like trait hunting. That has had the upside, with the exception of bugged drop rates, of also giving me the Shoulder Style pages to collect and sell. The rate of return on key use I found much better when buying the random boxes compared to buying the Shoulder outright for 50.

Lastly, with the Archive, I haven't really found a use for the fortunes. Ive purchased the IA upgrades, got Scrying skills which was a huge error, and now have gottwn some of the skill style fragments. I only play DK, so I got all of the gear that I'd ever want from IA pretty quickly. Although Ive been gilling out the rest of the stickers and style pages for the other classes, that seems like something that will happen over time anyhow. Thats because of the quest collectibles such as the Maligraphic Ichor which are given once a day. I assume that I'll start getting ones like Disgusting Spoils eventually too.

I guess that Foetunes can be used to buy sellable vrafting mats, but that also seems like sort of a waste. I wouldn't wan't something 3xpensive to be released and then have to do excess archive runs since I honestly don't care for the place. It makes me start to fall asleep.

what i usually spend the fortunes on are leads (if needed), monster style pages, and then if i want to just blow them i get the provisioning satchels, which can possibly drop perfect roe, aetherial dust, diminished aetherial dust, mourning dew, and rubyblossom extract

its just annoying to buy those in bulk because all of those containers are marked unique, so can only buy and open 1 at a time lol

i would probably agree the provisioning ones are probably better in bulk unless you happen to get lucky, usually ill buy like 10 at a time and get what i get, sometimes i get decent stuff other times not lol

i would say in the past year the prices on a lot of the more rare things (mourning dew and rubyblossom) have significantly dropped in price due to them being easier to acquire from this method

before the archive the rublyblossom alone was going at like almost 2 mil each, and now they are down to around 400k each

mourning dew i think is down to like 300k each, i dont know what they were at before because i had never seen one before this satchels were introduced lol

both of those started dropping in price as early as feb 2024

the price of roe has also been down, but i think this one didnt start dropping in price a lot until after the anniversary event, at least may 2024

im not really sure how the prices fluctuated on aetherial dust and diminished aetherial dust

in general i think the alchemy ones are better for smaller/steadier gains, while the provisioning ones are kind of like playing a slot machine with most of it being low value and then getting a few high value returns
