If you read the books on one character, the lorebooks disappear from the game and you can't read the books for any other character on your account. Therefore, you won't be able to log them in other character's Eidetic Memory.

✭✭I've got my fingers crossed that they'll make the lore library account-wide. I like collecting the lorebooks, but with 6000+ books and counting, I have no desire to do it on every character.1 -

Same here. It would also solve the problem of books completely vanishing from the game after quest completion. This is particularly painful if a character does a quest while in a group. There are cases in which only one player can interact with a book and afterwards it doesn't exist at all anymore for the other players in the group.
Accountwide lorebooks would make collecting the books on a different character possible.0
