Hello All

I'm in Kerbol's Hollow (Bankorai), because I miss "The Book of Reason".

It should be on the rock pile right side of the Town Hall, or at some other locations around the place as shown by the the lore books addon. No matter what, it doesn't show up. I can't find it.

Anyone had that case and could help me?

Hi,
There are a few reasons, no pun intended, as to why some lore books may not show up said location.

1. Book may not be accessible until a quest is activated. So book may be part of a quest.
2. The book may be located above or below the location you are in if the place has levels.
3. Some lore books appear in several locations not just one.

Someone was saying in reddit that they were searching for a lore book in clockwork city to no avail until the clockwork city event was on and they completed a daily and then lore book appeared.

Anyway best of luck in finding your book.

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I know all that and was checking carefully before to post in the forum.

The book is part of a collection, that is itself part of the Eidetic Memory.
Requirement is to have finished the mage guild quest line (needed to release the collection).
For this specific book, based on different sites and confirmed by the Lore Books Addon, there seems to be only one location: Kerbol's Hollow.
So far, I have investigated the whole place around the markers (up and down) without success.

I will keep searching. Maybe there is a bug linked to that book, or maybe a hidden requirement I have not yet discovered. I will not give up for now.

The last time I was looking for a lore book at an expected location and couldn't find it, it turned out to be because I'd already read it.

Huho... Good point. Maybe that I already read it but that for some reason, the addon marker doesn't disappear? Will check.

And back to put a "clean" end to the story.

I finally found the book! As I was trying a bit everything, I took a quest in a camp south of Bangkorai Wayshrine Troll's Toothpick: "Freedom's Chains".
This quest led me to the village Kerbol's Hollow where the book is supposed to be, so that was a good sign. I started it, and at step where we need to search for clues inside the village, I had to talk to a NPC called Farelle Falbert with the surprise that the book was on the wooden shelf behind that guy! I almost failed to see it!

After reading the book, there is no need to complete the quest. However, for info, once quest is completed, the book is gone again. If you return to the village, it's nowhere to be seen.

Important last note: the book is NOT related to the quest. No steps of the quest nor anyone of the NPCs will ask you to read it. It's just suddenly there. So don't forget to read it, because I'm not too sure what happens if you finish the quest without reading it, since it's no more there after that.
