Banner bearer CP stacking

Basically just wanting to know if the banner bearer buffs are supposed to stack with your CP slottables. If the 6% increase in DOT dmg from fiery banner will stack with thaumaturge giving you a 12 percent increase because I'm not really seeing a noticeable increase when parsing with both together as opposed to not. I realize parsing numbers on console isn't a great measurement but I have no way of seeing if I'm getting the full 12 percent afaik. So comparing parses is all I have right now. Any clarity would be appreciated.

I don't think bonuses can be multiplicative. Reductions can because you start with 100%. For example, armor gives you up to 50% mitigation. Scribing skill can give you 8%, but it's 8% of 50% or 4%.
This doesnt work for additions. However, where zos prevents power creep here is by making them a multiplier of the base and not compounded. 6% of base of a dot of 1000 is 1060. An additional 6% is another 60 damage. If it was compounde it would be 6% of 1060 and not an additional 6% of 1000.
Same holds for weapon/spell damage modifiers.
Either way you should see 12% and if you don't it is an issue.Edited by Thumbless_Bot on November 15, 2024 3:52PM1
