Shattered Fate in PvP

Hello,

I have been trying this for fun - because it give so much pen (+all divines The Lover_ and 2H Mace) But my health is pretty low 30K.
It gives great pen, a bit of crit and that 687 weapon and spell damage. I usually run around solo (and still die horribly 1v1). And yeah, ball groups - quick death.
Thoughts on other sets that give decent pen crit damage like this set?

Anyone ever use it in pvp...results?

Most people just use the 5 piece front barred for the pen, and back bar another set and use a mythic and a monster set.

It's a great set. If you lack health then I'd just take it out of your attribute points. I usually found I was just dumping 64 in health and calling it a day.

Yes, because you are a better pvp'r than I am!
Are you running 5 ShatFat and how many RC?

    Tankz for sharing!

I mean, I pretty much was running 64 points in health for every character regardless of their setup. Damage is high and I don't have access to scribing to make myself a shieldy boy. 5pc Shattered fate seemed to work really well for my templar a while back and a lot of others were saying that you might as well even consider the 10pc or 12pc for templar. I probably wouldn't bother with it on a warden though since they already get really easy access to penetration.

@Sluggy I thought weapon damage scaled off a max stat - Magicka or stam. Since we are hybrid, either. So do damage, you would want to max Stam or Magicka?

Or are you saying the set does enough damage?

Yeah but honestly but I find a lot of people put too much emphasis on damage stats when they don't need to - myself included.

As an example, for a long time I was rocking 26k hp with 10k damage and 33k max stam on my DK. But I found 35k hp, 5.5k damage, and 20k stam, and some block sustain with heavy defense worked exactly as well most of the time. If someone could survive my burst then a little bit extra damage was just a liability. At that point it's more about attrition and being able to survive was more important to me. I'd rather just be patient and wait for the chance to take advantage of a mistake or a fortunate turn of events.

As for Shattered fate, the pen is pretty great if you're lacking it on your build. The actual downside is that it's purely offensive on the 5pc since that won't help your healing at all.

    Depends what you play.

On my nightblade i feel pretty ok with 30k HP. I run shattered fate. Its a decent set. Personally i think oakfather is better in almost every scenario, but shattered is a good alternative.

My NB runs balorgh, wretched vitality backbar, shattered / oakfather frontbar, a trainee chest and lefthander mythic. Im having a good time in cyro and i only struggle when im heavily outnumbered.

In 1v1 scenarios the damage feels really good ( i need to rely a bit on lucky crits vs very tanky arcanists / wardens with 40k+ HP, but it is what it is ).

    @evLRise cool set up!

I recently switched out to 10pc shatfat, took the loss of crit and replaced with Nibenay. I get the shield to help with pull-boom, and a bit of crit resist. Still testing.

Oakfather seems good for NB, but 5 light for a none hiding Templar I think would be death.

But Love hearing how others master their set ups! COOL!

    You dont go 5 light.
    2x medium balorgh
    1x heavy trainee chest
    2x medium wretched vitality ( +2 from backbar weapon, 1x jewelry )
    1x medium mythic
1x light oakfather gloves (+2 weapons and 2x jewelry )
