Allow us to Lock and Unlock doors, regardless of Visitor Status

I set all my houses to Limited Visitor to prevent lights and other interactibles from being messed with. But this means that I have to keep all my doors open so visitors can see all the rooms in my houses.

I will not set my houses back to Visitor, so I would really like to be able to keep doors shut but still allow visitors to interact with them.

Please give us a Lock / Unlock toggle on all our doors so they will be fully functional the way a door is meant to be.

Yes, please. Being able to toggle doors to be lock/unlocked in Limited Visitor would be great... or even just a "lights excluded" Visitor setting would be very welcome, so people can interact with anything but lights.

I'd like people to be able to open/close doors, and it's okay with me if doors are left open sometimes, but I work way too hard on lighting rooms just right... I don't want lights to be messed with 😅

My kitchens look especially weird when people "turn on" my dough (overturned Murkmire Braziers)...

I don't want my music boxes and other interactives messed with either. With 39 houses decorated it takes a long time to check them all to fix these things.

I also don't mind if I occasionally find a door open because that doesn't have a big effect like the other things do.

That's true, I wasn't thinking of other interactables. Letting doors selectively work in Limited Visitor could be ideal if possible.

I've been enjoying touring people's town builds recently and it looks very odd with all the houses' front doors hanging open, since most people do seem to prefer Limited Visitor.

Weighing in on this a little late, but YES, this needs to happen. Crafted/Luxury furnishing/Vendor bought doors need to be able to open and close without leaving lights and sundries at the mercy of every prankster who comes along to make trouble. People are welcome, but doors are made to open and close, yes?

I don't think it would be overly complicated to classify doors separately from other interactives and give the option to allow access to these even in limited visitor. Especially since the doors that are already in the house are accessable by all visitors regardless of visitor status.

I really hope they take this into consideration.

this is a must have in the housing editor, definitely like the idea Marronsuisse said of toggling lights, I imagine that would be an easier route to have a "Lighting Interactable to: Owner Only / Everyone." option since there's other interactable furnishings like books and special effect ones, houseguests and tables too.

That is how limited visitor works now. It covers all interactables. We need doors separate from those.

Agree, I've been asking for something similar:
    • Lock interactibles. Ideal example: 1. Lock all items (as is currently implemented by Limited Visitor - a UI toggle for ALL items) + 2. manual override – unlock specific items that would be OK for guests to use.

For example, in addition to doors, maybe I'd like for guests to be able to ring Khenarthi's bell or say hi to Ja'kh at the pool, but not mess with lighting.
