Is it possible to suppress any sound in the game via addons?

Good afternoon beautiful people,

Just wondering if is possible to suppress any sound via addons?

Some addons for instance allow one to suppress the 'ultimate ready' sound, or the 'badoom' every time one enters/exists a group area in Craglorn etc.

Reason I ask is because I am struggling with the sound of the new scribing skill (Banner); every time someone enters the AoE it makes a really loud sound that I find quite intrusive and drowns other sound cues I rely on.

It is getting to the point where I cannot run the skill because it really is too much [for me], specially on 'mobile' encounters.

    Thanks for the suggestion, but those seem to be the same options found in Settings > Audio; I was playing with those yesterday but nothing seemed to work other than turning sound off altogether, which is a bummer because as mentioned I do rely on some sound cues.

    no idea but wish could mute the banner when people step in and out of it, it is very loud and annoying to the point i wont use it

    I don't even understand why this ability required a sound cue. It provides no useful information to me and feels like an additional punishment for providing the buff, on top of the hit I take to my to regen.

    If the sounds is no UI sound but skill sounds addons cannot silence or change those.
    Addons could only react on any event like a combat event, and even then it's hard to detect if anyone was doing something that triggers a sounds like you described, and then try to mute the general sound for 1s (afterwards turn volume back to the volume before the mute).

    That's a hacky workaround that can help to mute some sounds for mounts e.g. as you mount (FCO StarveStop got such an option).
    But I doubt we can make anything that detects that banner skills's "someone stepped on an AOE" usage/timing and then mute the sound for 1s.

    Bummer that is nigh impossible to do.

    Someone in the dev team really does love their booming sounds; the one in the new 'Jack' encounter portal was also setting me off big time (fortunately that was ez to avoid, just step through the portal and sorted).

    Plus before the matter was raised the new launcher also had booming sounds.

    Guess someone else will [in the group] have to carry banner in mobile encounters because frankly I can't, is too much.

    Wish that dev could experience their work the way I do.

    Report it to ZOs via ingame /bug and here at the forums.
    The more do it they easier they will recognize they need to change that visual effects and sounds... Some are really over the top :|
