The new system is an improvement, since stacks of Key Fragments no longer take up inventory, bank, or storage chest slots.
But as for using the new Imperial Fragments, I haven't looked into that part of it yet.

There are vendors in the IC treasure vaults (and maybe in the sewer bases?) that only accept Imperial Fragments and have some permanent items and some rotating stock of goodies. Every vault and vendor sells slightly different stuff, to encourage you to visit them all. I have not visited them at all because I have been doing hallowjack stuff.

My question-- which is a concern I saw others raise in an older PTS forum post-- is how do the fragments work when I enter a vault? I have thousands of Imperial Fragments and I don't want all of them to be converted into something that must be spent in a specific vault the way the old Key Ffagments did.
