I'm pretty sure the Dwemer figured this out millennia ago too. Astronomy was one of their main Sciences.

Its also very useful for navigating, as in the primary tool before gps, yes you had ground based systems but it did not work in the middle of oceans and this was after WW 1. its also why the ancient Greece know the earth was round.
Ancient Egypt believed earth was flat as they just went up to Israel and down to Sudan.

Its an story about an Phoenician ship sailing around Africa on an mission from an Pharaoh.
Its an Elder scroll book about an altmer who sailed up to that would become the imperial city very early, probably inspired by above story. FudgeMuppet? has an very nice video / podcast of it but doubt FudgeMuppet is the source as
https://www.youtube.com/@FudgeMuppet/videos is way more shallow than that this one remember.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

It is round. The story of Lyg tells of it being located on the opposite side of the world from Tamriel. And from the earliest teachings, (lore addicts), it is round. Just for fun, here is Cosmology map from years ago. Huzzah!

Well, after scourging the Imperial Library, I did find reference in the "Astronomy & Astrology" section of the site. I found this statement:
"…on an orbital around Julianos. Mara is on an orbital around Zenithar, and Dibella on an orbitals round Mara. Zenithar itself rotates about Nirn’s axis, but not around Nirn itself. Arkay is a similar case, revolution above Nirn’s tilted axis, creating a sort of 8 shape when seen in time lapse. A graph of the…".

So if Nirn has a axis, it must be round.
For those who have not explored The Imperial Library, I will link it below. They have been the harbingers of TES lore since 1998. Huzzah!
