Can we change the flag on Banner Bearer?

It doesn't match my outfit, which is clearly at least 99% more important than anything else about it.

Maybe let us choose a flag to fly--guild heraldry maybe? That would be cool. Or let us pick one of the 8 Divines or 19 daedric princes to represent while we're rallying our allies. I for one would love to represent Dibella while I'm bashing skulls in the name of harmony.

But maybe that's just me.

My guild was talking about this last night as well. It would be SUCH a good idea.

Pro tip for game development: allowing for self-expression in aesthetics and gameplay is one of the top of ways to please your players.

Certainly, customizing the banner checks the box for aesthetic expression.

I do think it’s… a choice that the Banner Bearer flag (and the associated MYM banner emotes form a few years back based on alliances) use the Legion Zero flag instead of any of the Alliance flags. Really wish we could show off how much we like our respective alliance instead of proclaiming our love for Molag Bal except in a muted color of our erstwhile alliance.

It was the Yokudan banner from Hel Ra before it was recycled for Legion Zero. I don’t think we can really associate it with any lore in a rational way when it’s been reused so much in so many disparate contexts.

I think the main point is that it’s not the Alliance banner. And for a skill from the Alliance lines, that has a color variation for each of the three Alliances, when said Alliance banners are in the game…

it would be nice to customize the flag

i kind of would like it to look like the ones the banner bosses in the IC sewers use lol

we do already have 1 skill which already customizes its flag based on alliance, the dragonknight standard, when this drops it has a flag of the alliance of the player who dropped it

That's a different point, one with which I would certainly agree. It reminds me quite a lot of the decision to use the Nighthollow staff for both Jabs and a Druid's lightning spear rather than letting them keep or giving them their own identity. I find the pattern quite unfortunate.
