Can't put piece of Anniversary Cake back in bag?

Was in my Flaming Nix Garrett house, fulfilling the placing of Hearth items for one of the daily endeavors.
Placed a piece of one of the Anniversary Cakes on the table, but did not intend to leave it there permanently.
I could pick it up to move it, but when I tried to place it back in my inventory I got the message
"Could not return item to bag" (or something close to that) and "Command Failed".
I also could not 'use' the cake, as in, turn the sparkles on and off.
Tried reloading UI but it made no difference.
My inventory bag was not full either, it was at 158/200.
Placed a piece of one of the Anniversary Cakes on the table, but did not intend to leave it there permanently.
I could pick it up to move it, but when I tried to place it back in my inventory I got the message
"Could not return item to bag" (or something close to that) and "Command Failed".
I also could not 'use' the cake, as in, turn the sparkles on and off.
Tried reloading UI but it made no difference.
My inventory bag was not full either, it was at 158/200.

I tried again. The exact message was
"The furnishing could not be put back in your bag"
"The last command failed"
Also tried logging out of the game and back in. Still wouldn't work.
Tried retrieving the item and returning it to bag that way. Still didn't work.
Don't think any of the cake pieces were 'permanent placement' items lol.
Would like to be able to retrieve my piece of cake please. I want my cake and eat it too

Bjergenen✭✭✭Not working for me too, all Cake Slices are bugged. Cant store them back by directly interacting and trying to use "Put Away" or using "Put Away" option in retrieve section of housing menu.

Bjergenen✭✭✭Cake slices don't need any achievement to buy them, but they are needed for their own achievement and i still have it completed.

I can't get the daily endeavor for the 3 Hearth Furnishings done with cake either since it doesn't count them as set out in my game.

✭✭✭Yep PC-EU just checked my cake slices cannot be retrieved in any of the houses I've placed them in!

Just to add I checked with any housing related addons off and cake slices are still stubbornly refusing to be packed away....
