When over 12 Event Tickets, I want the tickets to remain in the inventory without being claimed and

I would have so so many tickets by now, if there was no limit, because lately the outfits have been so awful, the molag pet is silly, don't want a house.

Sadly, these tickets are the only in game currency that have a limit. You have to wonder why. No limits on Gold, Telvar, Undaunted Keys, Writ vouchers, but event tickets? Yeah, let's put a road block there.

It might be limited because ZOS wants players to participate in every event. If we could hoard tickets, we could reach a point where we could buy everything we wanted from the impresario without having to actually participate.

Having said that, 12 is too low. It should be 30 or something like that.

The fact that they sell event tickets is a giant neon sign showing exactly why they have a limit. Make people incentivised to purchase crowns for tickets to acquire all the stuff from an event instead of letting people stockpile tickets for free.

Event tickets were added to the game to give not just an additional incentive to play events but to play all the events in a quarter, or a whole year, to collect all the fragments required for a reward. That doesn't work if you can stockpile tickets during one event and hold onto them indefinitely.

Whether or not that's a good system (or even an effective one) is debatable, but I'm pretty sure that's the intention.

I'm less inclined to see transmute stones as a currency, personally, as you aren't really using them to purchase an item so much as change something about an existing item. And as you said those can be recouped by deconstructing any item you use them on to get them back, which I only just learned about in the past month or so.

This sounds like a very reasonable assumption. If this is ZOS’s nefarious plan, I hope more people have done as I have done and figured out how to get everything they could possibly ever want from events without buying any tickets. I usually run out of things to spend tickets on so I stock up on the companion commendations to make leveling the companion Guild skill lines easier. I never let a ticket go to waste, and make sure I start every event with 10 to 12 tickets left over from the previous event.

EDITED TO ADD: My hope (and my fear) is that someday ZOS will catch on to people like me and add so many interesting wonderful things for sale like event furnishings or something to buy with tickets at the lmpresario that no one could ever get them all. Like during this event, I would have loved to see the green lanterns and the green candles that were recolored for the plane of Detritus for sale. I could have run out of tickets just buying those!
