I am more of a PVE solo guy, been here since the last closed beta and have only repeated the story, deleted chars and repeated again, only have 1 toon from the original one lol
That being said, I decided to try my luck in PVP after 10 years, and I am getting OK, I don't die immediately as before(I HATE PVP), but I still die most of the time, have managed to kill, like 50 players in almost 2 weeks, so yeah, I sort of sucked at first, but am getting better.
Now what pissed me off is battlegrounds, I joined in the solo queue for the daily(I only do it for the rewards tbh) and I get thrown to a version I had never played, the first... what was it, 2 weeks? I got only "get the flag" or "kill as many as you can"(IDK the names lol) but yeah, this was about getting a... Cursed ball? And keeping it... I WAS ALONE
Why would the game just drop me alone like that? I thought that Battlegrounds was always 4v4v4, and that the solo queue would group you with 3 other solo people, and that had been the case until today
But that is not what pissed me, I am getting so mediocre(As opposite to abhorrently bad) that I managed to not be insta killed and I killed 5 people in total, but what pissed me off, is that around 2 minutes before the game finished, POOF, 3 other players popped in, and then we ended up in second
One had all 0, one had 1 kill and all the rest 0, the other had 2 kills and 2 deaths, and I HAD 5 kills and 7 deaths, so we did end up in 2nd place, but hell, I did most of the game alone and I ended up in "3rd place" in the group rank, which doesn't matter really, because we all did get a reward, I guess, but it did pissed me off that I was alone for most of it and then the game is like "Yeah, you sucked, 3rd place for you"

Is it common to be dropped like that, being alone in the group vs other groups that have the 4 players?

darvaria✭✭✭✭✭The scoring in BG's does not always award player kills. I have finished some of the capture type BG's and even death match with very few kills. Like I usually get 3k to 5K points, being 2rd or 3rd of all players and sometimes first. And I will be 0/0/0.
In DM I can score high with flashing huge heals and stepping LOS and not dying. Don't forget the time deaths take you out of the game.1
